Simon Cowell has teased that a couple of Britain’s Got Talent acts who didn’t make it through the live shows could be given wildcards to return in the final.
Tonight, the third semi-final of the competition took place, with enchanting singer Tom Ball and hilarious comedian Eva Abley making it through to the final stage of the competition on Sunday.
While the judges were delighted by the acts who made it through, some people at home expressed their disappointment that competitors including singer Immi Davis and dance group The Freaks failed to also claim places.
At the end of the show, when David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon all voted to save Eva over magician Keiichi Iwasaki, Declan Donnelly turned to Simon to ask which way he would have gone if he’d had the deciding vote.
‘Well, you know what? This is really difficult, because I also think Immi should be standing here right now as well,’ he replied.
‘So I think we are going to have to bring in one or two wildcards.’

Amanda threw her arms up in the air at Simon’s admission, hinting that some acts could be asked to come back for the final despite previously being eliminated.
Some fans expressed who they would like to be the wildcard acts, with several speculating that Immi will be chosen after Simon’s candid comments about the singer.

‘I bet @SimonCowell just went backstage to tell Immi that she was a wild card,’ one person tweeted.
‘Hope Immi gets a wildcard and goes on to win the whole thing,’ another stated.
At the very start of tonight’s show, Simon and David butted heads after the first act’s performance, when dance group Les Sancho delivered a lively routine.

Despite having won him over in their first audition, for their latest show in front of the judges, Simon wasn’t impressed, hitting his red buzzer with little hesitation.
‘Why don’t you just go home?’ David said after Simon explained his reasoning for pressing the red buzzer, to which he replied: ‘I will,’ as he got up from his chair.

However, he soon returned, as the judges’ quarrel and booing from the audience continued.
Tom and Eva join four other acts in the final so far – busker Maxwell Thorpe, ventriloquist Jamie Leahey, impressionist Ben Nickless and music duo Flintz & T4ylor.
Britain’s Got Talent returns tomorrow at 8pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
