With the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent 2022 now all wrapped up, many of us will be eagerly anticipating which of the contestants will walk away with £250,000 and a coveted spot in the Royal Variety Performance.
However, the talent competition – a Saturday night viewing staple – will not air tonight (June 4).
But why isn’t ITV’s flagship show on tonight, and when will the finale air?
Here is everything you need to know.
Why isn’t Britain’s Got Talent on tonight?
The answer is simple – ITV explained to Metro.co.uk that Britain’s Got Talent finales always air on a Sunday, with 2020 being the only exception.
So, the BGT final 2022 kicks off on Sunday, June 5 at 7.30pm.

The Sunday night spot means that viewers wont have to choose between watching the finale or the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee concert.
The highly-anticipated event – with the likes of George Ezra and Duran Duran in the lineup – airs at 7.30pm on BBC One.
Britain’s Got Talent’s live shows came to an end yesterday evening, whittling down the top 40 contestants to just 10 hopefuls.
These remaining contestants will return to battle it out in front of hosts Ant and Dec, and judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.
Season 15 finalists include Never Enough singer Loren Allred, 32, who won her semi-final’s public vote.

Fan favourite Maxwell Thorpe, a busker from Sheffield, is also through to the final after receiving a standing ovation from the judges.
Teenage ventriloquist Jamie Leahey, 13, has also made it through to the final, along with impressionist Ben Nickless, comedienne Eva Abley, 14, who has cerebral palsy and young dance troupe Five Star Boys, who come with a powerful anti-bullying message.
The cast of Sister Act the musical is also set to perform on at the grand finale, with Jennifer Saunders as Mother Superior, Beverley Knight as Deloris Van Cartier, Keala Settle as Sister Mary Patrick and Lesley Joseph as Sister Mary Lazarus.
Britain’s Got Talent 2022 concludes on Sunday, 5 June at 7.30pm on ITV and ITV hub.
