The Repair Shop’s Will Kirk revealed his baby’s gender after announcing in March that him and his wife Polly Snowdon are expecting their first child.

The 36-year-old furniture restorer shared the news about their little one’s impending arrival during Tuesday’s Lorraine, after the 62-year-old host enthused: ‘Congratulations! You’re going to be a dad, when is it all happening?’

‘The baby is due in July,’ Will replied.

‘I had an antenatal class last night, I didn’t realise there’s a lot of stuff going on.’

Lorraine later asked if Will knew the sex of the baby and confirmed that him and Polly are ‘having a girl.’

‘We have a name but we’re going to wait until she’s there,’ he added.

‘I’m so excited and I’m so broody at the moment and I just can’t wait.’

The daytime presenter was also curious to know whether the craftsman has already started building toys ready for their baby’s arrival.

‘Everyone is asking me about the cot,’ Will laughed.

‘I think I’d rather leave that to the professionals, but I have started making some wooden animals for her nursery.

‘So, I started carving an elephant about four months ago, and it’s not that big. I’m just so busy, but I’m making some small things

Taking to his Instagram account, the TV personality shared the happy news that he’s going to be a dad for the first time, as he held up a mug bearing the word ‘Papa’.

In a portrait of himself, the antique furniture restorer smiled broadly, as he relaxed in a cream jumper in what looked like his sitting room.

Alongside the image, he wrote: ‘A new mug to add to my collection this summer.’

In August 2021, Will and Polly tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony in the Cotswolds.

In 2020, the couple were forced to cancel and postpone their wedding, due to the pandemic and coronavirus lockdown.

On the day of the nuptials, Will shared loved-up snaps of the event, alongside the caption: ‘The best day of my life. Thank you to all who attended and to those that helped to make it happen’.
