“I always find Primark’s jeans and shorts are a bit of a nightmare because the sizing is a bit all over the place but I guessed a 12,” she said at the start of the video.
She then tried the pair of £12 lightwash denim shorts on, and they fit her like a glove.
‘OMG, I think I might have found a pair of shorts that I actually like,” she gushed.
“This is like my dream length. They’re like a short style but not short shorts, if that makes sense.

“I hate the ones that go right up your bum but I know there are some in the stores at the moment that are that kind of longish style and they’re like mid-thigh.
“I’ve tried them in the past and they just don’t look right on me.
“But I feel quite confident in these shorts and I’m definitely going to be keeping them.”
Next up though, Gem tried on another pair of shorts – in the same style and same size but a different colour – and couldn’t even get them done up.

“This is where I get frustrated with Primark’s sizing for jeans and shorts,” she fumed.
“These shorts, no word of a lie, are the exact same size as the ones I’ve just tried on, but a different colour.
“Same size, everything. And they fit completely different – they are so tight.
“Like I swear, these are a different size. I’m starting to think I picked up a different size but it says size 12, it’s the same material.”
She also tried on another pair of distressed-style denim shorts in a 12, but hadn’t realised they were mid-rise rather than high-rise, and once again couldn’t get them done up.
People in the comments on the YouTube video were quick to praise Gem for being so honest in her clips.
“Oh man, Primark jeans have made me weep in the past,” one wrote.
While another added: “I went the other day got down about not fitting in stuff but got some nice bits, you look fab by the way.”
