Love Island is finally back on our screens and there’s been no shortage of drama. The nation’s looking at you, Ekin-Su.
The eighth series of the show kicked off on Monday, June 6, 2022, and saw 10 singletons begin their journey to finding love – and maybe a few brand deals.
While couples had mostly been coasting along, following Davide’s surprise entrance, producers decided to stir the pot and send in two new bombshells.
Sprinkle in a controversial challenge, and you have yourself a villa full of couples cracking under pressure.
Viewers are now wondering when the next recoupling will be, and when single islanders will start being forced to leave. So, read on for everything you need to know.
When is the next Love Island recoupling?
Following Thursday evening’s episode, it seems the next Love Island recoupling will be this evening on Friday, June 10.

Producers failed to show a ‘tomorrow night’ preview, so many on social media have alluded to a recoupling happening on Friday night’s show.
The first recoupling saw Gemma Owen swiped from Liam Llewellyn by the villa’s first bombshell Davide Sanclimenti.
However, most couples have been thrown into chaos following the two new bombshells Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu and Afia Tonkmor entering the villa.
Ekin-Su made a beeline for Davide, while Afia began getting to know Indiyah Polack’s partner Ikenna Ekwonna leaving the original islander concerned.
Meanwhile, Luca Bish and Gemma headed for a chat right under Davide’s nose, leaving the Italian stallion a tad unimpressed.
Despite previously seeming content with Paige Thorne, Luca went as far as telling Gemma: ‘If I could switch beds tonight, I would’.
With all the drama and chaos of the recent episode, fans of the show have taken to social media to express how clueless they are about what the outcome of the recoupling could be.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
