Adele Roberts has issued an update amid her battle with bowel cancer.

The radio DJ was diagnosed with the disease last year and has been sharing her journey ever since, revealing in October that she was undergoing treatment for cancer and later had a tumour removed through surgery.

Adele, 43, has been very open about her cancer and shares the highs and lows of her daily life – including hospital visits.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star has now shared images following her ‘lovely trip in the tube’ and is awaiting results of a scan, which should arrive in ‘a couple of weeks’.

Posting a picture to her Instagram, Adele was seen wearing a hospital gown and face mask, standing with her fingers crossed, hoping for the scan to show that she is free of cancer.

‘The day is finally here’, she began.

‘One hospital “bag for life” – Two cups of aniseed drink, a bit a liquid that makes you all hot and feel like you need a wee… and a quick go in the tube. Job done! Fingers crossed I get the all clear [sic]’.

The presenter went on to thank her followers for their support, as well as her partner Kate Holderness, who has been by her side every step of the way.

Adele has previously said her bond with Katie has only grown stronger in recent months, calling her an ‘absolute angel girlfriend’ and an ‘incredible human’ for caring for her.

She continued: ‘I just want to say thank you to my Katie, my family and friends, so many people on here and the amazing Radio 1 listeners for getting me through the last 8months. You’ve saved me. I promise you. You kept me going when I didn’t think I could go on… and helped me keep the faith.

‘Thank you also as always to the incredible @NHS. You are angels on earth. I owe you so much and I will be forever grateful for what you’ve done for me.’

Adele is now in chemotherapy recovery, which she admits feels like she’s ‘living in someone else’s house.’

‘My body isn’t my own. All bloated, sore and it won’t go to sleep at night 🤣 I do feel like I’m turning a corner though,’ she shared.

‘Chemo recovery is just as brutal as the treatment it’s self! Haha. Grateful for my little pink snipers though. Let’s hope they went full Call of Duty on the enemy and kicked cancers ass!’

Adele has said her experiences with cancer ‘happened so quickly’ despite learning that her bowel cancer had been growing inside her for 10 years before her diagnosis.

She’s now keeping everything crossed to be given the ok and find out shortly that her treatment has been successful.
