Britney Spears has hit back at reports her brother Bryan Spears was supposed to be at her wedding, claiming he was ‘never invited’.
The Toxic star, 40, married Sam Asghari, 28, in front of a small group of guests last week, including Madonna, Paris Hilton and Selena Gomez.
Notably absent from the fairytale ceremony at her Thousand Oaks home were any members of Britney’s family, including her two sons, who sent their blessings from afar.
It had previously been thought that Britney had invited only her brother Bryan, 45, to the ceremony, after having a public feud with her father Jamie Spears, mother Lynne Spears and sister Jamie-Lynn Spears over her conservatorship.
However, the singer has now claimed Bryan was also never on the invite list, taking to Instagram to hit out at him for not letting her have a drink in the past.
Britney told her followers in a since-deleted Instagram post: ‘You were never invited to my wedding so why even respond??

‘Do you honestly think I want my brother there who told me no to a Jack and coke for 4 years … what???’
The singer revealed she ‘didn’t drink one sip of alcohol’ during her wedding, explaining that she doesn’t particularly like alcohol after being ‘drug tested at least three times a week’ while under her conservatorship rule.

She added: ‘My brother had his shrimp salad with a Jack and Coke every night in Vegas after my show and even sometimes before!!! He would never even let me have a sip…’
Britney claimed that she was always told ‘no’ when she wanted to have a drink by her father and brother and joked that she might ‘force myself to drink Jack tonight’ as a ‘F*** you’ to the times she was allegedly denied alcohol by her family.

The singer’s conservatorship rule was lifted in November after 13 years, allowing her to regain control over her personal and financial decisions.
She and Sam had met in 2016 and got engaged last September, finally tying the knot in June 2022.
