Hailey Baldwin shares update on Justin Bieber’s health after worrying facial paralysis: ‘It was just a very scary and random situation’-Rishma Dosani-Entertainment – Metro
Justin shared his illness on social media recently.
Justin Bieber is ‘getting better every single day’ after he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, his wife Hailey Bieber revealed.
The Baby singer sparked concern when he canceled a string of tour dates earlier this month, before revealing his facial paralysis in a worrying video.
Sharing an update on how the 28-year-old is doing, the model, 25, described his health issues as a ‘very scary and random situation’.
‘He is doing really well. He is getting better every single day. He is feeling a lot better,’ she said during an appearance on Good Morning America.
‘Obviously, it was just a very scary and random situation to happen, but he is going to be totally okay and I am just grateful that he is fine.
‘The support has been really amazing just from fans, friends, family. Every single person has sent well wishes, advice, recommendations. It’s actually been really amazing.’

Justin shared news of his illness last week after being forced to call off his planned performances, with fans rushing to offer their support.
‘As you can probably see with my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome and it is from this virus that attacks the nerves in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis,’ the Boyfriend musician said in an Instagram video.
‘Obviously my body is telling me I’ve got to slow down.
‘So for those who are frustrated by my cancellations of the next shows, I’m just physically obviously not capable of doing them. This is pretty serious, as you can see, I wish this wasn’t the case.
‘But obviously my body is telling me I’ve got to slow down and I hope you guys understand.’
In the video, Justin was visibly suffering from paralysis and was unable to blink, flare his nostril and smile on the right side of his face.
Ramsay Hunt syndrome is a complication of the disease known as shingles. It is the name given to describe the symptoms of a shingles infection affecting the facial nerve.
Symptoms can include blisters in the ears and on the roof of the mouth, as well as facial weakness – It can be treated with steroids, antiviral medication and facial rehabilitation.
Justin’s announcement comes shortly after Hailey was also rushed to hospital herself, with ‘stroke-like symptoms’.
‘I feel a lot better after that situation. I feel good. I had a procedure done to close this hole in my heart and I am just giving my body time to heal and recover,’ the Rhode Beauty founder added in the GMA chat.
‘It was a little hard for me to recover from the procedure, just giving myself the time to be able to work out again and feel normal, if that makes sense.

‘But I am doing well now and I am not having to be on any medication any more, so I feel good.’
The couple famously tied the knot in a secret ceremony in 2018, shortly after their reunion.
They confirmed their marriage soon after, before walking down the aisle for a second time the following year.

Hailey added that their respective health problems had actually brought them closer together, adding: ‘Going through it very publicly in front of a lot of people, it kind of almost in a way forces you to have to just be upfront about what is going on so people understand what you are going through, and I think it actually opened up a lot of really important and amazing conversations.
‘I think the silver lining of all of it is that it brings us closer because you are going through this together, you are being there for each other, you are supporting each other and there is just something that really bonds you through these times.
‘So, that is the silver lining in these crazy times.’
