BUYING jeans is always a massive gamble.

Sure, the size on the label might be the size you are, but that doesn’t mean they’re always going to fit you properly.

The fashion lover put that to the test and decided to try on five pairs of jeans from different brands.

Despite every pair being the same size they all fit so differently.

Carrie, from Phoenix, USA, tried on jeans that were all similar styles to ensure it was a fair test.

FASHION FIX

SANDAL SOLUTION

Fabulous fashion editor reveals how to stop your sandals slipping

The first pair the denim lover tried on were from Target and featured a high-rise cut and button fly.

The size 16 jeans seemed promising at first but had a lot of extra room and the back.

Carrie said: “I am noticing how comfortably they fit but they are a bit loser in the waist.

“They are tighter in the front than the back, but they’re a good fit”

Maurices

Next, Carried tried on another pair of mom jeans, this time from Maurices.

The ripped style looked stylish and had some stretch to them, but once she put them on the legs were noticeably tighter than the first pair.

Even though the label claimed to be high-waisted it was clear they were more of a mid-rise style and barely covered her belly button.

Carried quipped: “Why are you allergic to high-waisted jeans?”

H&M

Carrie explained that she usually avoids H&M because they’re sizing can be so hit and miss.

The ‘ultra high-waisted mom jeans’ were surprisingly lose and the denim lover was able to slide them off “like they were sweatpants.”

Carrie said: “One of the reasons I stopped shopping at H&M was because I used to never fit into their stuff.

“I would try on size 16 and it would be like a 12.”

Abercrombie & Fitch

“They already feel so much tighter,” Carrie said as she wiggled into another pair of mom jeans.

The struggled to fasted the button on the jeans, which were massively smaller than some of the previous pairs.

Carrie said: “Right of the bat you can see how much I’m bulging out of these jeans.”

“There’s very little stretch in them whatsoever and they’re so tight around the waist.

“I could simply never sit down in these, it would be a death wish.”

Levi’s

Finally, Carrie tried on a pair of Levi’s ribcage jeans.

According to the size chart on their website, Carrie says she was recommended a size 14, but after trying them on she was barely able to get them up, let alone fastened.

Trying on the size 16, she immediately noticed how weirdly big they looked.

“These are not my size….I’m so confused,” she said.

The jeans were gaping around her waist and began to fall down as she showed them off.

“How is the size 14 so small that I cant even get the buttons to but, but the next size up is so big that I can pull them off of my body?”
