The Great British Sewing Bee is as wholesome as it gets and now Sara Pascoe has revealed what happens to all the clothes once the contest is over.

If you thought the show couldn’t get purer, you were mistaken.

The Great British Sewing Bee follows sewers hoping to blow away judges Patrick Gant and Esme Young, and win the title of the UK’s best amateur seamster.

If you’re not obsessed yet, what on earth are you waiting for?

Well, ahead of tonight’s quarter-final, Sara – who replaced Joe Lycett as host – has answered what happened to all the finished garments once they’ve been examined by Patrick and Esme to the nth degree.

She told us: ‘They get to keep all of their clothes but the show itself, especially because BBC is really careful with all of the fabrics.

‘Everything that was wasted, they sent to refugees who needed to make clothes and the clothes that the people design they get to keep everything gets sent to them.

‘There’s no like, skip out at the back with all nice trousers you can go through. Everyone’s got to keep things.’
