Though Love Island 2022 kicked off just weeks ago, this series of the ITV2 dating show has certainly packed in its share of drama.
We’ve seen sabotage, shock exits, and more boys coupling up with Gemma Owen than she’s dropped hints about her famous dad.
But which islanders have been coupled up over the course of series eight?
From the original public-picked pairings on day one to all the recouplings that have happened since, here are all the couples we’ve seen so far.

Launch episode
Gemma Owen and Liam Llewellyn

Before Love Island 2022 even started, the ITV producers threw a massive twist our way – the public got a say on who coupled up on day one.
The launch episode saw 19-year-old Gemma get paired with 22-year-old Liam Llewellyn.
The pair didn’t last for long, as Gemma recoupled with the first bombshell just days later.
Paige Thorne and Luca Bish

On day one, the public decided to couple up Paige Thorne, 24, and Luca Bish, 23.
The pair lasted for four days until Luca picked to recouple with someone else on day five.
Amber Beckford and Dami Hope

Amber Beckford, 24, and Dami Hope, 26, are still going strong after being paired together on day one.
The pair have been dubbed ‘the most compatible couple in the villa’, with very little drama so far this series.
Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page

Dancer Tasha Ghouri, 23, found her dance partner in the form of Andrew Le Page, 27.
The public seemed to know what they were doing, as the pair are still together at the time of writing.
Indiyah Polack and Ikenna Ekwonna

Despite her less-than-enthusiastic reaction to being paired with Ikenna Ekwonna, 23, Indiyah Polack, also 23, seems to have been won over by the Nottingham-based pharmaceutical salesman.
After bombshell Afia Tonkmor made it clear that she liked Ikenna, many fans didn’t know who Ikenna would choose in the latest recoupling, however, fans were delighted to see him choosing to couple up with Indiyah.

First bombshell choice
Gemma Owen and Davide Sanclimenti

On day two, first bombshell Davide Sanclimenti chose to couple up with Gemma Owen – leaving her partner, Liam Llewellyn, single and vulnerable.
Liam later chose to exit the villa on day five.
He gathered his fellow islanders around the fire pit, and, in emotional scenes, said: ‘We all came here for the same sort of reason, but I don’t feel like I’ve been giving 100% Liam. I’m miles off that.
‘Trying to find someone you leave the villa with that you care about – obviously, that’s the goal, isn’t it?’
Liam went on to share how the fact he wasn’t feeling quite himself ‘makes it hard’ to give his all to the experience.
‘This isn’t a spur-of-the-moment type thing. So yeah, I’ve made the decision I’m gonna leave,’ he told the islanders.
‘It’s been a breeze – it’s been an absolute ball. You’re all unreal,’ he smiled.

First recoupling
Gemma Owen and Luca Bish
Gemma entered her third couple – this time with Luca (Picture: ITV)
On day five, Love Island 2022 saw its first recoupling.
During the episode, viewers watched as Gemma entered her third pairing, with Luca nabbing her from Davide.
This left his existing partner, Paige, single and vulnerable.
Fortunately, Liam’s shock exit earlier in the day meant that she was saved from being dumped.

After Davide’s partner, Gemma, was stolen by Luca, the Italian islander chose to recouple with newcomer Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
However, it looks like the match wasn’t made in heaven, as the pair had a massive bust-up when it was revealed that Ekin-Su had been sneaking to the terrace for secret snogs with new bombshell Jay Younger.
Second bombshell choice
Paige Thorne and Jacques O’Neill
Jacques picked Paige over Afia (Picture: ITV/REX/Shutterstock)
The day after the first recoupling, Gemma’s ex-boyfriend Jacques O’Neill entered the villa.
He went on a date with the two single girls, Afia and Paige, and was later asked to couple up with one of them.
Jacques decided to pair with Paige, saying: ‘I found her attractive, the talks that I have had with her, we are just getting on more and more so let’s see where it would go.’
This meant that Afia became the first official dumping of Love Island 2022, without having coupled up with anyone.
Who are the current Love Island 2022 couples?
The current pairings are as follows:
Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page
Amber Backford and Dami Hope
Indiyah Polack and Ikenna Ekwonna
