Better Call Saul finale: Bob Odenkirk teases Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul’s Breaking Bad return: ‘It’s not just one time’-Rishma Dosani-Entertainment – Metro
Is it next month yet?
Breaking Bad fans were beside themselves with utter joy and excitement when it was revealed that Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul would be teaming up with Bob Odenkirk to reprise their roles in the final season of Better Call Saul.
Show creator Peter Gould sent us all into a spin earlier this year when he confirmed that the pair, who played Walter White and Jesse Pinkman respectively, would be returning to the fold to send the sequel off in style.
Little else has been mentioned about the eagerly-anticipated appearance, but Bob – aka sleazy lawyer Saul Goodman – couldn’t help but give us a little tease about the scenes, promising that it won’t be a one-time cameo.
Chatting to Metro.co.uk on the red carpet of the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of episode one, talk turned to their reunion on set.
When asked how it was having Bryan and Aaron back in front of the camera for a ‘full-circle moment’, he said: ‘[It was] so good. Seeing Bryan and Aaron playing Walt and Jesse…
‘It’s not just one time… And it was great.’

Insert a choice Jesse Pinkman quote right here…
Bryan and Aaron first starred as schoolteacher Walter White and drug dealer Jesse Pinkman in the critically acclaimed Breaking Bad, which ran for five seasons from 2008 until 2013.
They also appeared in 2019’s El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, which picked up moments after where the finale left off.
Bob went on to explore Saul’s back story for hugely popular prequel series Better Call Saul, with part two of the final series landing on Netflix next month.

Where will the finale leave our favorite sleazy lawyer? (Picture: Netflix)
Part one was left on an almighty cliffhanger – with fans dubbing the last instalment the ‘greatest episode in TV history’ – so the final batch of episodes have a lot to live up to…
Spilling the beans on where everyone’s favorite lawyer could end up when the end credits roll, he told us: ‘Well, I know what happens. I can’t tell you. If I were to tell you where he is today, you’d know…
But it’s sad to see him go. He’s still alive in my heart and I’ll see what happens over the next few episodes. You’ll see…’

On what he’ll miss most about playing the complex legal expert, Bob added: ‘The variety. The variety of this character. I get to do pure comedy, and then two pages later, intense drama. It’s all mixed together.
‘There’s never going to be a part that has this much dynamic range in it. I was very lucky. I didn’t deserve it!’
Better Call Saul is available to stream on Netflix now, with new episodes releasing on July 11.
