Emma Bunton may have given Aussie fans a reason to say ‘thank you very much’ after teasing a Spice Girls reunion tour Down Under.

When Emma, AKA, Baby Spice was asked if she and her band-mates, Mel B, Geri Horner and Mel C, would consider performing in the stunning country anytime soon, she replied: ‘Let’s just say yes, why not!

‘Do you know what? I want to do it.

‘We’ve been speaking about it, of course we have, but with the pandemic and everything that happened, it’s been tougher to organise.’

‘I absolutely love coming to Australia.

‘I’m hoping that’s going to be our next stop, so fingers crossed,’ the 46-year-old added to Australian TV’s Sunrise program.

The last time the group discussed their hopes of performing in Australia was back in June of 2019.

However, Geri soon put a spanner in the works in early 2020 by saying she was unable to do a global tour due to personal commitments.

As it turned out – the pandemic would’ve stopped any plans dead in their tracks, anyway.

They last toured in summer of 2019 on a 13-date UK stadium tour that grossed an estimated £63million in revenue.

The band performed to crowds in Dublin, Cardiff, Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Bristol, and London.

The group, minus original member Victoria Beckham AKA Posh Spice who turned down the tour, reportedly pocketed £4.4million according to accounts filings following the first payout from the concerts.

The last time the group did a world tour was in 2007/2008 with their The Return of the Spice Girls tour.

They did 47 shows in several cities, including London, Manchester, Cologne, Madrid, Montreal, Toronto and Los Angeles.

Sadly, for the Aussies, they also had planned, but then cancelled, shows in Sydney.

Meanwhile, Mel C suggested that Victoria may actually reunite with the band for Glastonbury Festival in the future.

When asked if Victoria would join them, she exclaimed: ‘I have a good feeling [she would].’
