And although some of your favourite items might be comfortable, it doesn’t mean they look good.
Luckily, fashion whizz Chi Li shared some of the things that women always wear that are making them look loads older than they really are.
If any of these things are lurking in your wardrobe it’s time to wave goodbye to them.

The fashion pro said: “If I see racks and racks of tunic tops I know I’m in the senior lady department.”
The style might be comfortable to wear but Chi insisted that it’s doing you no favours.
She added: “If you already have a lot of tunics, an easy fix is to tuck it it in the front.”
Capri trousers

Capri trousers seem to be the go-to trouser for loads of women in the summer.
They’re somewhere in between full length trousers and shorts, so might let the air get to your ankles without having to bare all, but they’re also adding years onto your look.
The pro explained that because they finish at the widest part of your calves they’re also making your legs look huge.
Chunky sandals
You might not want to wear heeled wedges, and that’s fair enough, stumbling around in heels is never actually that fun.
But that doesn’t mean that you need to go full granny mode and only wear chunky sandals in the summer.
The fashion lover said: “They can easily make you look 10 years older than you actually are!”
Go for something comfortable but more sleek to avoid looking so dated.
Overly baggy tops and dresses
It’s only natural to want to hide your lumps and bumps sometimes, but wearing baggy tops with no waist definition is only making you look bigger than you really are.
The pro said: “They’re going to make you look bulkier and older.
“Switch to a dress that cinches your waist, it will have a slimming effect and look more youthful.”
Pleated trousers
Your favourite pair of pleated trousers might’ve been all the range once upon a time, but if you’re still wearing them now they’ve got to go.
The pro explained that you can make pleated trousers look more current and youthful by opting for wide leg styles, but any that taper in at the leg or a more fitted will only age you.
Loud prints
Big, loud prints can look so outdated and will instantly make you look older.
If you want to appear younger go for more subtle prints that blend together and use less contrasting colours and designs.
The fashion guru said: “It’s much easier to handle subtle prints and they’re going to make you look more youthful.”
All black outfits
There’s a right and a wrong way to wear an outfit that’s entirely black, and the wrong way can make you look much older than you are.
The pro explained: “The best way to do it is to create contrast through your fabrics.
“For example, if you’re wearing black denim then wear wear a black satin shirt.”
Midi skirts

Time to say goodbye to your midi skirts, Chi explained that they’re adding years on to your look.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to wear a full on mini skirt to look younger, either go for something a little bit longer, or something that finishes just above your knee for a more youthful look.
