It was only seconds into tonight’s episode of Love Island where Tasha Ghouri dropped a surprising bomb about a past connection she had to new bombshell Charlie Radnedge.

Charlie had picked Tasha for a date yesterday, making it clear he was keen to catch her eye despite her being coupled up with Andrew Le Page, and so far, seeming to be in one of the villa’s strongest couples.

But, Charlie’s magic almost seemed to work, and Tasha admitted it was a ‘good date’, hinting she was open to getting to know him further.

In fact, it wasn’t the first time she recognised him, as she revealed to the girls in the dressing room that she had actually recognised Charlie from dating app Hinge.

What a tiny, tiny world.

And just like us, viewers were completely floored by the revelation.

‘Not Tasha recognising Charlie on Hinge? The world isn’t small it’s microscopic,’ one viewer wrote, while another added: ‘It was Tasha saying she recognised Charlie from Hinge for me. A modern day love story.’

Another wrote: ‘Oh Tasha there’s a lot of Charlie types on hinge.’

Someone else added: ‘Tasha just admitted she recognised Charlie from Hinge. We’ve all been there gal…’

Later in the evening, Tasha addressed her date with Charlie to Andrew, who questioned whether she would share a bed with the new bombshell if she was picked to couple up with him tonight.

While Tasha admitted she didn’t know whether she would or wouldn’t share a bed with Charlie, Andrew was clearly left on edge after a chat to Luca Bish and the other boys about his awkward position.

Things became even more tense after Tasha and Andrew’s chat, leaving Tasha walking off in tears, saying she ‘can’t deal’ with it all.

Before their date yesterday, Charlie pulled Tasha aside to share he has his eye on her.

‘I am really happy with Andrew,’ Tasha confirmed, but that didn’t seem to stop Charlie as she assured she’d be happy with chats ‘even if it’s on a friendship level’.

‘I will continue to persist, I think,’ Charlie said in a clip later, before picking her for their hot-tub date.

Love Island continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV Hub and ITV2.
