Love Island 2022 is underway, though fans have been left shocked by a baby revelation.

Luca Bish, 23, casually revealed that Gemma Owen, 19, told him she wanted to have kids ‘in the next year’ – despite her young age (and the fact we’ve not even made it to the baby episode yet).

Ahh, the baby episode. It always makes for some truly hilarious moments as each couple has to feed, comfort, and change the nappy of their animatronic offspring.

But since the series began in 2015, many Islanders have gone on to become parents in the real world.

Some stars have gone on to have children with the person they met on the ITV2 dating show, while others have formed families with loves who weren’t resident in the famous Majorcan villa.

So, just who has a Love Island tot?

Olivia and Alex Bowen (series two)

Series two favourites Alex Bowen and Olivia Bowen (née Buckland) are proud parents to a new baby, Abel Jacob, who was born in June 2022.

The happy couple have been loved-up since the met in the villa all the way back in 2016, and announced their engagement on New Year’s Eve 2017 – tying the knot less than a year later in September 2018.

Despite just welcoming their baby, little Abel has already appeared on mum and dad’s social media, with Olivia calling him her ‘tiny bestie’ and Alex commenting that ‘fatherhood is a mad mad feeling’ alongside a heart emoji.

Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt (series three)

Many will remember Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt as true fan favourites on series three in 2017, where the couple placed third as runners-up, and have been together ever since.

And former bomb disposal specialist Camilla gave birth to the couple’s first daughter Nell on October 27, 2020.

Nell made an appearance in the early hours and weighed 6.5lbs, with Camilla gushing on Instagram: ‘There may be a thousand new photos on my camera roll, but none of them could ever do justice to the way you have lit up our lives.’

Jamie was as equally smitten as he wrote: ‘After all of life’s ups and downs I can honestly say this morning brought on a monumental change of perspective.

‘From this day forward I promise to be the very best version of myself for you and your mum and do my best to give you both everything you could possibly ask for.’

The couple welcomed a second child, daughter Nora, in May 2022.

Cara Delahoyde and Nathan Massey (series two)

Cara Delahoyde and Nathan Massey were the winners of Love Island’s second series in 2016, beating Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen to the title and the £50,000 prize money.

Since starring on the show, the pair’s relationship has been up and down, with Nathan and Cara splitting soon after she found out she was pregnant with their son Freddie, who was born in 2017.

The two soon reconciled before Freddie’s arrival and later tied the knot in 2019.

In July 2020, Cara gave birth to the couple’s second child, a daughter named Delilah.

Jess Shears and Dom Lever (series three)

Jess Shears and Dom Lever are parents to a son, name unknown, who they welcomed in December 2019.

The couple first got together on the third series of Love Island in 2017 and despite leaving the villa separately – Jess was booted out first, before Dom soon followed – the pair rekindled their relationship on the outside.

Jess and Dom tied the knot in a gorgeous wedding held on the Greek island of Mykonos in 2018, and in March 2022 announced they were expecting their second child.

Jack Fincham (series four)

Essex lad Jack shot to fame on the fourth series of Love Island in 2018, where he went on to win the series with ex-girlfriend Dani Dyer.

Things didn’t quite work out for him and Dani on the outside, with Jack putting their break up down to the pair rushing into things, like moving in together, when they left the villa.

At the beginning of 2020, Jack surprised everyone when he revealed he had welcomed a daughter, named Blossom, in secret.

He shares his little girl with close pal Casey Ranger, but he and Casey aren’t together.

Jack has since said that he was super nervous on finding out he was having a kid and he chose to keep Casey’s pregnancy out of the public eye, so it could be as peaceful as possible for her.

After Blossom’s arrival, Jack took to Instagram to tell his fans: ‘This is undoubtedly the best thing that has ever happened to me and it’s true what they say, the instant feeling of love and connection you have with your child is a feeling like no other.’

Cally Jane Beech and Luis Morrison (series one)

Rewind back to the first series of Love Island in 2015 and you’ll remember Luis Morrison’s ex Cally Jane Beech surprising him and becoming a late addition to the villa that year.

The pair finished in fourth place on the show and stayed together for a few years after that, and later became the first-ever Love Island couple to have a baby.

Cally and Luis welcomed daughter Vienna in May 2017, but later confirmed their on/off relationship had come to an end for good in 2018, as they went their separate ways.

Despite their split, the couple now co-parent and are often seen posting numerous snaps of their daughter. Vienna even has her own Instagram account, run by Cally Jane.

Luis has a second child with new partner Chloe Elizabeth.

Hannah Elizabeth (series one)

Glamour model Hannah finished in second place on Love Island series one in 2015 with her now ex and former Towie star Jon Clark.

He had even proposed to her during the final episode of the series, popping the question on national TV after just six weeks together.

Hannah said yes, but things didn’t exactly work out and she went on to find love with her now ex partner George Andreeti instead.

Hannah fell pregnant while the pair were dating, but had split from George by the time she gave birth to their son Reggie in November 2019.

Jess Hayes (series one)

Jess won the first series of Love Island in 2015 with ex-boyfriend Max Morley, but it wasn’t quite the happy ending she had hoped for, as the pair split just a month later.

Jess has finally got the fairytale she always wanted, though, as she is now engaged to partner Dan Lawry and the couple welcomed a son called Presley, now one, in July 2019.

Announcing her pregnancy, Jess told fans on social media: ‘It definitely was a surprise and wow what a blessing this is, I cannot wait to meet this special little human, you are going to be so loved!’

Emma Jane Woodhams (series two)

Fans will remember that Emma was the bombshell arrival in series two in 2016, as she rocked up to the villa surprising her ex-boyfriend Tom Powell.

She wasn’t exactly interested in a reunion, though, and instead struck up a romance with Terry Walsh, who had been coupled up with Malin Andersson.

When Malin was voted out of the villa, Terry decided to stay, after considering walking with his villa love, and quickly moved on with Emma while we all watched on open-mouthed.

Things between Terry and Emma didn’t progress on the outside and Emma is now mum to son Alfi, who she shares with her childhood sweetheart.

Emma gave birth in January 2018, following a 52 hour labour, and revealed a month after his arrival that she had split from his dad.

Fans will see her sharing pics of herself and her little boy to Instagram, with Emma cutely revealing in one previous post: ‘Happiest when I’m smiling with you little prince.’

Tyla Carr (series three)

Tyla was a late arrival to the villa during series three of Love Island in 2017 and enjoyed flings with Johnny Mitchell and Theo Campbell, with the two boys coming to blows more than once over her.

Since her time in the villa, she has become mum to son Archie, who she welcomed in January 2019, with ex-boyfriend Rossco Edmonds. The pair, who dated for over a year, split six months after Archie’s arrival.

Tyla has since been open about her experience as a single mum online and has said that she would love to have more children in the future, but ‘Archie is plenty if that doesn’t pan out’.

Dani Dyer (series four)

Like her ex-boyfriend Jack, Dani is also starting a family of her own as she has welcomed her first child, Santiago.

The star of Love Island 2018, Dani announced her pregnancy news via Instagram, and told fans she feels ‘so lucky and grateful’ to have a baby on the way.

The new mum shared plenty of pregnancy updates with fans on social media, including how she found being pregnant in the middle of a pandemic.

Dani welcomed her baby on January 23, 2021.

‘We are in a complete baby bubble and enjoying every moment, can not believe he is ours, completely in love and so grateful to be his mummy’, the reality TV tsar said on Instagram.

‘Sending all my love to all the other mommas to be out there in lockdown.. the best experience ever will never forget this day.’

Santiago’s dad is Dani’s ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence, a former partner she’d reconciled with after her relationship to Jack ended.

Later in 2021, Sammy was sentenced to three years in prison for scamming pensioners out of £34,000.

Marcel Somerville (series three)

Blazin’ Squad star Marcel was an islander in 2017 and finished in fourth place during series three with then-girlfriend Gabby Allen.

Since the show, both he and Gabby have moved on, and Marcel revealed in January 2021 that he and fiancée Rebecca Vieira had welcomed a son, named Roman.

Malin Andersson (series two)

While there’s been plenty of joy for our islanders following their time in the villa, there’s also been sadness, too.

Malin Andersson, who starred on Love Island in 2016, gave birth to her daughter Consy, named after her mother, in December 2018.

Heartbreakingly, Consy, who was born seven weeks premature, died a month after her birth. Malin has openly spoken about her grief online, following her daughter’s death, and she’s now dedicated to raising awareness of what it’s like to lose a child, while speaking out in support of those who have gone through a similar experience.

Malin pays tribute to her little girl on Instagram, where she share photos of Consy and reassures others dealing with a similar grief, while remembering her baby girl.

Malin had further heartache in April this year when she revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage, just over two years after Consy died.

However, on August 1, 2021, Malin announced on Instagram that she was pregnant again.

Alongside the black and white snap, she said: ‘My next chapter. My new beginning. My happy ending. My entire universe. All mine.

She continued: ‘Everything I’ve ever wanted, everything I visualised. A solid partner in my life, who has been there in the background – witnessed my life over the past 4 years and has stuck by me as a friend.. and now a lover. This couldn’t feel any more right – and we’re now bringing a beautiful soul into this world.

‘My heart feels electric writing this, my eyes tearing up.. because I can promise you all there was once upon a time I never thought I could experience this. I was wrong. It just wasn’t the right time. All the pain I’ve endured has led to this very moment.. my own little family.’

Acknowledging her mother and daughter who have both died, Malin added: ‘Mumma – I know you’re looking down with bright eyes and a big smile. Baby Consy – protect us from above.’

She is now mum to daughter Xaya, who was born in January 2022.

Theo Campbell (series three)

Theo shocked everyone when he announced he had welcomed a baby boy on February 7, 2021.

The former islander shared on Instagram that his son is called Aries, but did not reveal the identity of the baby’s mother.

Theo posted a photo of himself carrying Aries home from hospital along with the message: ‘Dam, my replacement is here 👶🏽 – 21 hours later and he’s here 🎉 I can’t believe the joy I had looking into the eyes of my baby boy ❤️.

‘I only told a few friends and family so for most people will be massive surprise seeing this 😄 Over the past 4 years having a private life isn’t really a thing so being able to keep this private has been so nice.

‘Massive well done to his mum as well, the process of having a baby is crazy I literally didn’t have a clue how strong a woman has to be to go through this!’

Max Morley (series one)

Love Island 2015 winner Max Morley has a son named Brooklyn, who was born in November 2021.

His mum’s identity is unknown, but Max has shared a few details about his son on Instagram, namely that the tot was born eight weeks early and spent the first four months of his life in hospital.

In February 2022, Max shared his son was coming home, writing in a sweet Instagram post: ‘After 109 days nearly four months he’s coming home.

‘It’s been such a tough time so proud of him and mum can’t believe how strong they’ve both been! Excited to spend time with my son at home. What a man Brooklyn B Morley.’
