The half tuck creates leg length
If you have short legs and want to create the illusion that they are longer than they actually are, you are in luck.
Melissa said: “So hack number one is the half tuck. You’ve seen this done before on my videos, the aim is to length your legs.
“You’re looking to tuck the jumper I and there’s several ways in which we can do that.
“The first way to do that is to tuck it into your bra, this only works if it’s long enough, otherwise you will show some of your stomach area.

“Try and create the curve and that will really length your leg.
“If that isn’t for you, we’ve got the simple elastic band. Place the elastic band at the front of the jumper, tie it up tightly and pop the tip of the jumper into the trousers.
“This is a really simple, easy way to achieve the half tuck all day long.
“And yes the same principle would also work on a shirt. Grab a band or pop it in your bra and it works well with both methods.”
How to stop your necklaces tangling
If you like to layer up necklaces but are fed up with them getting tangled, here is a tip for you.
Melissa continued: “Next is a great little gadget that stops your necklaces from tangling when you’re wearing them.
“So if you’re like me and you like to layer a couple of necklaces at a time, you can buy one of these gadgets from Amazon and you can layer with two, three, four, even five necklaces at any one time.
“It’s a magnetic clasp which means that when you take the necklaces off you are taking them all off together.
“This is something that is always in my styling kit as it makes life just that little bit easier.
The sleeve tuck creates a slimmer waist
We all wait a slimmer waist, right? Well, thanks to Melissa’s hack, here’s how to use styling to show off your body.
Melissa advised: “Next we have the sleeve tuck, it creates the illusion of a smaller waist and is very easy to achieve.
“If you just roll your sleeves up, they will fall down all day long, so instead, get your elastic bands, make sure they’re not too tight, you don’t want to stop your circulation.
“Simply put them in place and roll the jumper over.
“FInish off with a half tuck and you’ve instantly got a smaller waist and longer legs, what’s not to love?”
How to tie a coat with minimum bulk
Forget causing a lot of bulk when you tie your coat, with this hack there will be none of that.
Melissa added: “Next is how to tie a coat without creating any extra bulk.
“Most people would simply tie it, but it doesn’t look overly stylish.
“Most people tie it in a bow, but this adds a lot of extra bulk in the front area.
“Here’s how I would do it – first of all start by wrapping the belt around your hand.
“Pull the end through the loop from the back of the hand, towards the front of the hand.
“Once you’ve done this, stretch out your fingers to create a hole.
“Grab the other end of the belt, thread the belt through the hole and then pull tight.
“As you pull you’ll see a nice knot develop.
“Voila! The beautifully styled knot without any bulk.”
How to elongate your frame with neutral pointed shoes
And it’s not just clothes that can elongate your fame – shoes can do the job too.
Melissa explained: “A really easy styling trick to elongate your frame and modernise your wardrobe is to wear a neutral, more pointed shoe, as opposed to a darker coloured, more rounded toe.
“Round-toed shoes will shorten your leg length and date your outfit.
“A more neutral pointed shoe is definitely more stylish.”
How to elongate your frame with long layers
Long layers are another option for elongating your frame.
The stylist said: “Considering the theme of elongating the frame we have a standard cardigan.
“It cuts my thighs, making them even wider, and shortens my leg length.
“We can do a half tuck and pull up the sleeves and that will greatly improve the visuals of the cardigan.
“However, if we compare it to a long-lined cardigan, we’re left without needing any styling at all.
“The long line produces a leaner silhouette and modernises the look.
“Also it’s very good if you’re carrying any excess weight and it cuts the torso in half and from the side perspective it hides any excess tummy weight.”
How to layer a jumper over a shirt
Finally, there will be no more lumps and bumps when layering, thanks to Melissa’s simple tip.
The Personal Stylist advised: “The final little hack is to show you how to layer a jumper or a tank top over a shirt, without creating the extra bulk.
“Grab yourself a tank top or vest of some sort, as long as it’s quite tight.
“Spend a few moments smoothing everything down, then pop your jumper back on and there you go, no extra lumps or bumps.”
Melissa’s video has clearly impressed many, as it has racked up a whopping 454,125 views.
It has 26,000 likes and 542 comments.
Many YouTube users were highly impressed with the hacks, with many taking to the comments to express this.
