More glorious pictures from the Barbie live-action movie set are here, and this time we’re getting roller skating Barbie, as well as the first look at co-stars including Will Ferrell.

Just days after we were treated to star Margot Robbie dolled up in hot pink flares, as well as matching white cowboy hats with a befringed Ryan Gosling as her boyfriend Ken, we’ve got more upon which to feast our eyes.

With fans desperate to see the Greta Gerwig-directed movie released, it’s still over a year before it will make its way to cinema screens with principal shooting only just begun.

As work continues apace, Margot was once again dressed in her 70s-style cowgirl flares and matching waistcoat costume – complete with jaunty matching neckerchief – gleefully rollerblading through Venice, California in neon skates.

Accompanying her was co-star America Ferrera, best known for Ugly Betty, who plays an as-yet undisclosed part in the movie.

The duo held hands and laughed, with America dressed in navy trousers and a blue, pink and white striped shirt.

The costume was giving away no clues as to her character, but it seems she could be friends with Barbie.

Margot and America exchanged a high-five as cameras caught their skating, with the 31-year-old Aussie actress also spotted showing her prowess in a skating area, holding a cup of coffee while on a break.

The film’s star was also busy filming on Sunday, when Saturday Night Live and Elf icon Will Ferrell was spotted arriving on set and seen in costume for the first time.

Although sporting a black mask, which obscured most of his face, the comic veteran was dressed in a bright pink tie, light pink shirt and dark trousers, fanning the flames of the rumour that he is playing the CEO of a toy company, like Barbie’s manufacturer Mattel.

The movie has previously been said to have a meta aspect, as well as following Barbie and Ken in their lives, as we know from previous glimpses at her Dream House and bright pink sports car.

It’s safe to say anticipation is high for this flick, with Ryan Gosling near breaking the internet in his Ken get-up of double denim when a first peek at his character was recently released.

The film boasts a massively star-studded cast, with those announced but not yet seen including upcoming Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa, Saturday Night Live’s Kate McKinnon, Marvel superhero Simu Liu, Issa Rae and Sex Education actors Emma Mackey and Connor Swindells.

Directed by Oscar nominee Gerwig from a screenplay by her and partner Noah Baumbach, the full plotline and most roles are officially under wraps still.

However, with an iconic doll as its centrepiece who has been everything from a vet to a fairy to US president since her debut in 1959, anything goes!

The Barbie live-action film will be released on July 21, 2023.
