Selling Sunset star Mary Fitzgerald has addressed the new company formed by her ex-colleague and former friend Christine Quinn after she quit the brokerage.

In recent seasons of the Netflix reality show, Christine’s relationships with the other employees at the Oppenheim Group have become increasingly fractured, so much so that during the season five reunion, boss Jason Oppenheim revealed she no longer ‘has a place’ at the firm.

The 33-year-old recently implied that despite her departure from the real estate group, she will still appear on Selling Sunset, stating that they ‘just have to get creative now’ as she and her husband, Christian Richard, form their own company.

On Monday morning, Lorraine Kelly was joined by Mary in the ITV studio, taking the opportunity to ask for the lowdown on Christine’s departure and what it could mean for the series.

‘Christine. What is going on with Christine? She’s quit the firm, has she quit the show? Is she away, that’s it, goodbye? Who knows? You can never say never, right?’ Lorraine asked, getting right to the nitty gritty.

Mary delivered a diplomatic answer, responding: ‘Well you know… I think there’s been a lot that’s happened.’

The 41-year-old then added: ‘I don’t know anything about her company. I’ve seen some stuff, I don’t know anything about it.

‘But I think enough has happened on the show and just at the brokerage that she’s not a good fit.’

Lorraine didn’t hold back from sharing her own views on the matter, adding: ‘No, no. I would agree.’

According to Forbes, Christine and husband Christian will use cryptocurrency in their company, which they hope will disrupt the real estate market.

Despite Christine recently suggesting she would be back on Selling Sunset, she recently said that she felt ‘happy to be free’ from the Oppenheim Group.

‘I was part of a bigger machine over which I had no control. We were brainwashed robots, and I’m just so happy to be free,’ she told The Guardian.

At the end of season five, it was claimed that Christine tried to bribe a client of Emma Hernan’s so that they wouldn’t work with her.

Shortly afterwards, it was revealed Christine’s bio had been removed from The Oppenheim Group’s official website.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV. Selling Sunset is available to watch on Netflix.
