Chris Pratt is still bothered by the backlash he received for his controversial Instagram dedication to wife Katherine Schwarzenegger.

The Guardians of the Galaxy actor – who no longer wants to be called Chris – went viral for a lengthy social media post at the end of last year, in which he heaped praise on his partner for giving him a ‘healthy daughter’.

Many immediately perceived the post, which is still visible on his social media page, as insensitive towards his former wife, Anna Faris, and their son, Jack, who has suffered from health issues over the years.

Following the fan fury, the 43-year-old has slammed the ‘f**ked up’ response to his post.

In a new interview with Men’s Health, he fumed: ‘I said something like, “Find someone who looks at you the way my wife looks at me”. And then I gave her some s**t in the thing and said, “But I love you. I’m so thankful for my wife – she gave me a beautiful, healthy daughter.”

‘And then a bunch of articles came out and said, “That’s so cringeworthy. I can’t believe Chris Pratt would thank her for a healthy daughter when his first child was born premature. That’s such a dig at his ex-wife.”

‘And I’m like, that is f**ked up. My son’s gonna read that one day. He’s nine. And it’s etched in digital stone. It really f**king bothered me, dude. I cried about it. I was like, I hate that these blessings in my life are – to the people close to me – a real burden.’

Chris, or CP, also touched on why some places on the internet love to troll him.

‘You don’t ever wanna get caught complaining or anything. ‘Cause I have so many blessings,’ he added to the outlet. ‘I consider everything a blessing truly in my life. [But] why are they coming after me?’

The Parks and Rec actor was met a wave of fury from fans online last year after sharing an Instagram post about his wife Katherine, who he married in 2019 and recently welcomed a second child with.

In the post in question, he penned: ’Guys. For real. Look how she’s looking at me! I mean. Find you somebody that looks at you like that!! You know!?

‘We met in church. She’s given me an amazing life, a gorgeous healthy daughter, she chews so loudly that sometimes i put in my ear buds to drown it out, but that’s love!

‘She helps me with everything. In return, periodically, I open a jar of pickles. That’s the trade. Her heart is pure and it belongs to me. My greatest treasure right next to my Ken Griffey Jr Upper Deck Rookie card.

‘Which if you know, you know is saying a lot. It’s her birthday in about 6 weeks. So if I don’t get her anything, I’ll tell her to look back on this post. Love you honey.’

However, many questioned the wording behind his comments, and took this as a slight towards Anna regarding their son, Jack – who was born premature in 2012 and underwent numerous medical procedures.

Chris later shared a video explaining that he felt ‘kind of upset and depressed’, but did not address the Instagram comments directly.

‘I went to bed last night feeling kind of upset and depressed and I woke up feeling crappy and I didn’t want to work out,’ he added.

‘I knew though, if I put on my Christian music playlist and I got out in the woods and ran, I would feel better, but I just didn’t want to, and I did it anyways and gosh, was I right. It felt amazing.

‘If you feel down today, maybe get some exercise and maybe listen to some good worship music, or get the word in, because it really helped me this morning.’
