Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield prove they are as thick as thieves off-screen as they are on This Morning, as they took in the delights of Wimbledon day one.

The pair headed to the Championships on Monday, joined by 41-year-old Holly’s husband Dan Baldwin, 47, and 60-year-old Phil’s wife Stephanie Lowe, 58, for a spot of bubbles and a side of giggles that is in no way giving us all sorts of VIP fomo…

Taking in the Lanson Champagne suite at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London, Holly was seen toting a glass of champagne to her seat to sip as she sat alongside her pals.

Wearing a gorgeous pink and white Gul Hurgel dress, which was perfect for the British summertime event, and nude strappy heels, the presenter settled in for a stellar game from champ Emma Raducanu.

Holly’s husband Dan – with whom she shares three children, Harry, 13, Belle, 11, and Chester, seven – made sure they didn’t need to miss a moment of the action as he toted a couple of mini bottles of champagne for the crew to top up their glasses from their prime seats.

Taking in Raducanu’s win on her Centre Court debut against Alison van Uytvanck, at one stage Holly threw her arms into the air in celebration.

Sharing some sweet snapshots from her day out, she wrote on Instagram: ‘Dreamy afternoon at @wimbledon … yes @emmaraducanu 💪🏼🎾… thank you to @champagnelanson for the best fun, champagne and most importantly strawberries and cream in the whole of SW19! ❤️ #hwstyle💁🏼‍♀️✨ dress by @gulhurgel 🎀.’

Holly and Phil are good friends away from the cameras, having been This Morning colleagues since 2009 – and are often in fits of laughter on the show much like in the Wimbledon stands.

Phillip said on their hit morning show that Holly is ‘the sister I never had’, while the pair are known to have gone on holiday to Portugal together – along their respective partners and kids.

In a 2016 episode of Loose Women, Phillip mused of their close friendship: ‘We hang out. What’s lovely is that my Steph and Holly’s Dan, everyone gets on, so it’s a foursome, we go out for a meal, you know… all the kids get on.’

Holly added: ‘We spend so many hours together, then when we’re off in the summer, we spend a lot of time together. We just get on quite well. We think in the same way.’

At Wimbledon alongside his ITV comrade on day one, Phil was seen in fits of laughter alongside Stephanie.

Phil has clearly maintained a close friendship with Stephanie, the mother of his two daughters, after he came out as gay on the ITV programme in February 2020.

They may no longer be together romantically but Phillip and Stephanie appear to still be the best of friends as the former sat together in the stands and looked to be having a great time as Phillip threw his head back in laughter at one point, while Stephanie took charge of topping up his glass of champagne.

This is the life, eh?
