Lizzo might be a fan of flashing the flesh on Instagram but her family are less keen on her skimpy outfits and risqué social media snaps.
The singer, 34, revealed on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke that some members of her family have told her to ‘put some clothes on’ after seeing her skimpy looks.
Lizzo admitted: ‘When I was in Detroit, we were in the Church of God and Christ. When you have that faith, it is strict with the kind of music you listen to. We didn’t listen to secular music. It was devil music.’
She joked that she had ‘p***ed a few family members off’ by swearing in her lyrics, as well as with her raunchy outfits.
Lizzo explained: ‘It might be the nudity a little bit. My cousin Pookie gets made at me all the time. He’ll call my mum and say “Hey, tell Melissa to put some clothes on.”
‘I know! And then I’ll double down and post more nudes the next day.’

The Juice star has previously hit back at bodyshamers, telling People that she wants to help challenge the ‘boxes’ curvy women are often put in, explaining: ‘Okay, we all know I’m fat.
‘I know I’m fat. It doesn’t bother me. I like being fat, and I’m beautiful and I’m healthy. So can we move on?’
Lizzo also admitted to James that she used to turn to Beyonce’s music to help her through the tough times in her life.

She explained: ‘When I was shy, or when I didn’t think I was cool, when I was getting picked on, I would listen to Beyoncé in my bedroom and it would transport me.
‘I would feel that my life was going to be better, you know, there’s hope for me. When I dropped out of college and I was really depressed, I listened to B’Day on repeat and I was like I’m gonna be a singer.
‘The way she makes people feel is the way I wanna make people feel with music. She is my North Star.’
