Fox News host Gianno Caldwell broke down in tears during a live broadcast as he opened up about the death of his 18-year-old ‘baby’ brother, who was shot in Chicago.

Caldwell, who is Fox News’ Political Analyst, slammed Chicago for being ‘soft on crime’ after his younger brother, Christian Beamon, was shot dead and two others were injured on Friday.

‘He was literally just standing in front of the venue,’ he told the New York Post. ‘And there’s three or four people out there who murdered him. We want them held to account.’

Speaking during a live broadcast, Caldwell said: ‘Living in Chicago should not come with a death warrant, but for so many people there it does.

‘And that’s why it’s so important for me to keep my brother’s name alive in hopes that people will reach out to the police if they know anything, the Chicago police.’

Speaking on Fox and Friends on Tuesday morning, Caldwell became emotional after discussing having to plan his brother’s funeral.

‘Yesterday for the first time in my life, I went to the funeral home to plan the burial for my baby brother,’ he said as he choked down tears.

‘I’m paying for a funeral for my baby brother. My baby brother is supposed to be burying me, not the other way around.

‘But this is where we are, right now, and I pray for justice for my baby brother, Christian.’

On Instagram, Caldwell posted a series of images of his brother, saying Beamon’s death was ‘legitimately the worst day of my existence.’

Beamon was the youngest of nine siblings, and in other social media posts Caldwell spoke about feeling like the father-figure for his younger brother, calling them his ‘boys’ in one Instagram post.

Elsewhere, he posted on Twitter: ‘I’m in complete disbelief this happened to my family. I love my little guy, Christian. My heart is completely broken. The fact that murders like my little brother’s happen daily in Chicago says that an entire generation could be murdered. God help us!’
