Duncan James has confessed his teenage daughter was more impressed by his appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox than by his fame from being in the boyband Blue.
The 44-year-old, who is set to reunite with his bandmates Lee Ryan, Simon Webbe and Antony Costa for a reunion for their 20th anniversary tour, recently appeared as a TV sofa critic beside Denise Van Outen.
The band are gearing up to release their seventh studio album, but it seems Duncan’s daughter is more impressed with his Gogglebox stint than being part of the nostalgic boyband.
Speaking to OK!, Duncan revealed: ‘My daughter’s 17, so she’s a bit too young to remember Blue the first time around.
‘When I told her I was going on Celebrity Gogglebox she found that more impressive. She was like, “Oh my God, that’s amazing!”‘
He added that it was ‘great’ to star alongside his friend Denise, saying: ‘I get to go to Denise’s house and sit on that famous sofa. Den and I get on so well, we have a good old catch-up.’

Their ‘banter’ and being able to catch-up while forgetting the cameras were actually there filming is what makes the programme ‘so authentic’, Duncan added.

Denise and the boyband star go way back so naturally Duncan was the perfect fit.
‘Denise and Duncan have been pals since they both shot to fame in the late 90s and he has been helping her through her painful break-up this year,’ an insider told The Sun.

‘As bezzies who share a similarly outrageous sense of humour, they have the perfect chemistry to deliver some laughs as they survey TV shows.’
Celebrity Gogglebox continues this Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
