Scarlett Moffatt is embracing her body size and is encouraging others to do the same after being subjected to social media trolling.
The former Gogglebox star, 31, released the SuperSlim Me workout plan in 2016, going from a size 18 to 8 in the process. However, the video was thrown into controversy amid accusations Scarlett had attended a weight loss boot camp and dramatically cut her daily calorie intake down to 700.
After the fitness DVD was branded ‘a sham’ the I’m A Celebrity….Get Me Out of Here! winner described the incident as something ‘I don’t talk about, ever.’
However, Scarlett has moved on from the scandal and wants to use her platform to promote body positivity and self-love.
‘I have friends who are so aesthetically beautiful and they still pull themselves to bits. I just want people to not be so hard on themselves,’ she said.
‘People need to look in the mirror and give themselves a compliment. So many times in the past I missed out on things because I was self-conscious. I didn’t go to pool parties in Las Vegas three years ago.’

‘Genuinely, no matter what you look like, just celebrate you,’ she added to The Sun.
In August 2021, Scarlett shared with her Instagram followers that she wore a bikini for the first time in five years.
‘This shouldn’t be a big deal but it is and I’m actually crying whilst writing this,’ she revealed.

‘It’s took (sic) me so many years to gain confidence with my body. I’ve let it down at times and missed out on holidays and nights out because I’ve not liked what I’ve seen in the mirror.
‘But hey after 5 years of not daring to wear a bikini I’m actually doing it! So I hope this gives you the confidence to buy that dress, that bikini, not miss out just because your body doesn’t fit into a certain category (because let me tell you all these things are made up nobody is too slim, too curvy, too athletic, too many stretch marks, too much cellulite) LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE 🤍.’
