Guns N’ Roses have confirmed they will to be performing their show in Glasgow on Tuesday due to illness.
The band’s official account shared a statement telling fans: ‘Sadly, due to illness and medical advice, GN’R will not be able to perform in Glasgow, tomorrow 5-July-2022.
‘We are working on rescheduling options for this show so please hold onto your tickets and wait for a further update. We appreciate your understanding and patience.’
Although the statement did not elaborate further, fans quickly flooded the comments with well-wishes for lead singer Axl Rose, 60, who had earlier told audiences he had been struggling with his voice.
He had told audiences at Tottenham Hostspurs’ stadium on Saturday night during the band’s gig that he had slept in the stadium between shows after falling ill.
The Sweet Child Of Mine star said on stage: ‘I slept here last night… I’ll be switching the songs around a little bit.’
No details have yet been announced for the rescheduled concert but fans were urged to hold on to their tickets for the new date.
Guns N’ Roses are currently on a UK/European tour until the middle of July, heading over to play shows in South America, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand later in the year.

The Welcome To The Jungle stars are the latest band to have been affected by illness causing a show cancellation, days after the Red Hot Child Peppers were also forced to postpone their show at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow.
A statement posted by their account on social media read: ‘Due to illness RHCP will not be able to perform in Glasgow tonight July 1. We are working on ways to reschedule.
‘Pls hold onto your tickets and wait for an update soon. RHCP love Scotland and are deeply disappointed not to be able to perform the show. Thank you for your understanding.’
