The most eagerly-anticipated twist of Love Island has hit the eighth season of the show – the infamous Casa Amor.
Casa Amor was first introduced during the third season of the show, splitting the islanders and introducing a new selection of bombshells to turn heads and test the existing couples.
It is notorious for causing some explosive scenes and breakups, and this year’s Casa Amor is already hotting up with the boys straying from their partners and angering both each other and viewers.
But has a Casa Amor contestant ever won the show? We take a look:

Has a Casa Amor contestant ever won Love Island?
Despite rocking the competition every year, so far a Casa Amor bombshell has not won the show.
Ordinarily, original contestants tend to do best in the show and go on to take the prize money.
Series two, three, and four were all won by couples made up of original islanders.

Some have reached the final, including series four’s Kaz Crossley, and series five’s Ovie Soko.
Bombshells have won the show before, but only when coupled with an original islander.
The first series of the show was won by Jess Hayes, who entered on day one, and Max Morley, who entered as a bombshell on day 14.
Series five saw Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury come close to becoming the first bombshell couple to win Love Island, but they were beaten by original islander Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea who entered the villa on day 44.
Paige Turley and Finn Tapp won the sixth series, with the latter entering the villa as a bombshell on day five.
Last year was the first year that two bombshells won the show with Millie Court and Liam Reardon winning the seventh series of the show.

What is Casa Amor?
Translating to House of Love in Spanish, Casa Amor is the most eagerly-anticipated twist of each Love Island series.
Casa Amor was first introduced back in the third season of Love Island in 2017 and has become a staple of the show ever since.
Contestants are split, with the boys entering a new villa full of fresh faces – and temptation – while the girls remain in the main villa with a new crew of guys to try and lure them away from their partners.
This year, however, it is the girls that will head over to Casa Amor while the boys stay in the villa.

Casa Amor usually lasts for around three to four days, just long enough for heads to be turned and for the infamous postcard to be sent to the main villa to stir up tensions.
Once over, each islander is asked whether they want to stay with their original couple or pick one of the new bombshells to recouple with.
In the past, this has led to some of the show’s fieriest moments, most intense break-ups, and thousands of complaints.
