When the actor appeared on This Morning for his first UK TV interview, Phillip Schofield revealed to a shocked Dan that they had a short message to play from one of the S Club 7 bandmates.
Rachel began: ‘Hi Dan, first of all, I just want to say, I’m such a massive fan of you, I love you and I loved Schitt’s Creek.
‘It’s so lovely of me to send you a message of me to say hi, I hope you’re really well sending you lots and lots of love to you and your family.’
