Gabby Logan hit back at Lord Alan Sugar once more after he criticised the lack of male commentators during England’s Euro 2022.

On Saturday, the business magnate tweeted: ‘I am watching the women football and notice that ALL the commentators are women.

‘I also note when men’s football is on there is a symbolic female commentator to cover the broadcasters a**e. Should I complain there should me a male commentator in women’s football.’

The Apprentice frontman, 75, was met with backlash over his comments, and former Final Score presenter Gabby, 49, replied: ‘We have plenty of men working on this tournament Lord Sugar, don’t fret you’re not being eradicated.’

However, Lord Sugar added more fuel to the fire after resharing his previous statement and implying that his tweet resulted in Ian Wright providing the commentary during last night’s game.

‘I was pleased to see my old mate Ian Wright was given the opportunity to commentate on the ladies game last night,’ he wrote.

Is this a parody account?

‘I wonder if my earlier tweet below touched a nerve. Of course BBC sport will say not at all, Ian was already lined up for it @IanWright0.’

However, Gabby simply asked: ‘Is this a parody account?’

BBC commentator Robyn Cowen also weighed in on the controversy and sent Lord Sugar a special shout-out.

‘A lovely shot of one of our studio guests, Jonas Eidevall. One of our symbolic men. Good evening Lord Sugar,’ he said towards the end of the first half.

Gabby also gave a short and sweet response to a fan who questioned ‘why women stand up to host, while men sit down.’

‘Stamina,’ she quipped.
