THERE’S a variety of bra styles to choose from – but knowing which one is best for your boob shape can make all the difference.

Professional bra fitter, Nicola Crooks, revealed that knowing what shape of boob you have is vital to find a bra that looks good.

In a YouTube video, the bra expert revealed there are five different shapes of boob and revealed which bra is the best pairing for each.

She said: “It will come as no surprise that we are all built in different shapes and sizes, and so are our breasts.”

The first breast shape is asymmetric, Nicola explained this is less about shape and more about size difference.

One breast is larger than the other, which can make it difficult to find a bra that fits correctly.

The best bras for this boob type is a balcony style bra or a T-shirt bra as Nicola said they are ‘more forgiving’ and make the size difference less obvious.

If however, the size difference is still noticeable, Nicola recommends using a removable pad to help give you that symmetry.

Breasts that have the same amount of density at the top as the bottom are known as round breasts.

For those with round breasts you’re in for a treat, as all bra manufactures use this shape to mould their bras.

Nicola explains that this means you can wear any style of bra.

The next breast shape is known as the East, West – where the breasts point out and downwards in opposite directions.

“They tend to be fuller at the bottom and the sides and have lower density at the top,” Nicola adds.

A plunge bra will help bring your boobs up and more central, or you can go for one with side support to create the same effect.

If you find your breasts face downwards along with your nipples and has more density at the bottom, then you have a pendulous boob shape.

Nicola suggests a full cup bra style to give you more coverage, shaping and support.

But if you want something with less coverage and a bit more playful, a balcony bra will offer similar levels of support and shaping Nicola shared.

Finally, breasts that are narrow at the top and wider at the bottom are known as bell shaped.

Like the pendulous shaped boobs, bell boobs will look their best in a full cup bra or balcony bra to give them extra support and shaping.
