Tom Holland may have competition as Spider-Man – and it isn’t far from home.

This week, Zendaya celebrated as she earned her second acting Emmy nomination for her magnificent performance as teenage drug addict Rue in drama Euphoria, becoming the youngest two-time acting nominee in history.

To mark the occasion, the Greatest Showman star shared a couple of throwback pictures from when she was filming the show, looking back on a scene when she climbed out of a window.

In the first image, the 25-year-old was shown standing on the edge of a balcony as several crash mats and crew members were situated below her.

‘Looking back through my Euphoria pics… as you can see it’s a very support set lol,’ she wrote.

In the second image, she was shown climbing in or out of the window, one of her legs perched on the balcony as her left arm rested up on the side of the building, as she admitted: ‘It’s giving Spidey-Rue.’

Numerous fans lapped up her Spider-Man reference, given the actor has played MJ (first introduced as Michelle) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2017, when Spider-Man: Homecoming came out.

‘Zendaya is the best Spidey end of debate,’ one person tweeted, seemingly in reference to the ongoing debate among fans of the superhero over who played the webslinger best out of Tom, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

‘Look at her doing her own stunts… legend behaviour,’ someone else remarked, while another wrote: ‘Euphoria exists in the MCU.’

We wonder what Tom thought of her parkour antics!

Following her latest Emmy nods – having also been nominated as a producer on Euphoria for outstanding drama series – Zendaya expressed her gratitude online.

‘The love is so very real, thank y’all truly…I feel it<3,’ she wrote on Twitter, in a post that’s garnered over 278,000 likes.

The love truly is real.

In June, she shared a loved-up post for Tom in honour of his 26th birthday, sharing an adorable black-and-white photo of them together.

‘Happiest of birthdays to the one who makes me the happiest <3,’ she wrote in the caption, with the picture accumulating a staggering 24million likes.

Euphoria is available to watch on Sky and NOW.
