Black Mirror season 6 looks set to star a bumper cast of A-list names, with reports that Josh Hartnett, Aaron Paul, and Kate Mara are signed up.
It was revealed in May that Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones’s acclaimed anthology series is in production again after a painfully long three-year hiatus, and they’ve gone all out with the line-up.
According to sources, Black Hawk Down’s Hartnett is joining the Netflix show this series, along with Breaking Bad’s Paul and House Of Cards actress Mara.
On top of that, Paapa Essiedu, who shot to fame in Michaela Coel’s BBC Three drama I May Destroy You, is on the bill, alongside Atlanta’s Zazie Beetz and On My Block star Danny Ramirez.
Variety reports that there are also a number of new faces set to skyrocket to fame in the new chapter of Back Mirror, including Danish actress and singer Clara Rugaard, American star Auden Thornton, and Singaporian actress and songwriter Anjana Vasan.

The publication adds that the aforementioned casting specifically spans three episodes, and it’s understood that more names will join the bill for further episodes.
The new season is the first to come since Brooker and Jones left their production company House of Tomorrow in 2020, which was backed by Endemol Shine Group.

Instead, the pair set up a new production venture Broke and Bones, with Netflix investing in the company soon after through a mega deal worth up to $100million (£84million).

Black Mirror’s future was up in the air for a time as the rights to the show remained with Endemol Shine, which was acquired by Banijay Group in 2018.
Luckily, however, a deal was made that allowed Banijay to license the show to Netflix.
Black Mirror seasons 1 to 5 are available to stream on Netflix.
