Dame Joan Collins is on the mend after a pinched nerve in her leg saw her airlifted to Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco.
The 89-year-old actress was taken by helicopter to get medical help as a precaution and is now ‘doing fine’.
A spokesperson for the Dynasty legend said: ‘The pain has been excruciating, but fortunately she’s dealt with it, and she’s OK now. She’s in the South of France enjoying the rest of her holiday.
‘She’s recovering and doing fine but those pinched nerves are brutal.’
They added: ‘It’s the most painful thing.’
However, despite the injury, the fashion icon has no plans to box away her famous vertiginous heels anytime soon.
The rep added: ‘As we speak, this will not inhibit her fashion whatsoever. It’s fine.’
A friend added to New York Post’s Page Six: ‘[Joan was] airlifted to a hospital in Monte Carlo and now she’s back home in St. Tropez and is walking around.
‘She’s 89 and is still walking around in six-inch heels.’
The star has since shared a picture of herself smiling on a yacht on Instagram alongside an update about her ordeal.
She captioned the image: ‘Enjoying a great day out, one week before I had to go to the Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco for a trapped nerve in my leg.
‘Not fun! But they were great! #monaco #princessgracehospital #princessgrace #hospital #trappednerve #funinthesun #imonaboat (sic).’
A pinched nerve is a compressed nerve surrounding tissues that pushes against nerve roots and can cause pain, numbness and tingling in different areas of your body, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
Rest is the most common way to recover from it, however, more serious cases may require surgery.
The actress was enjoying her lengthy luxury holiday in Southeastern France.
On July 3, she shared a picture of herself also on a yacht but with her brother Bill, 76, and her stylist Rene’ Horsch.

‘It’s a hard life but some of us got to do it!…’ she captioned the image, along with the hashtags ‘#hardlife #boat #friends #sainttropez’
Her husband of 20 years Percy Gibson, 57, has accompanied her on the trip, and was also featured in another series of snaps shared by the star.
‘Friends, family and fun on the Fabulous French Riviera!’ she wrote alongside the snaps, which included a number of fancy outdoor lunches with Percy and pals.
Dame Joan previously spoke about how lucky she has been to be in good health during a chat about her mother-in-law’s battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Describing the condition as ‘terrifying’, she told the Daily Record: ‘You have to enjoy life, and I live totally in the present.
‘Touch wood, I’ve never had any health problems other than a bit of toothache… But my husband Percy’s mother had Alzheimer’s and that’s a terrifying illness.
‘You don’t want to live like that. It is far better to drift off slowly.’
