Richard Arnold has revealed he will be starring in a Hollywood movie alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Kevin Hart – as the voice of a cartoon dog.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 52, confirmed he would be the voice of Waffles the dog in the upcoming film DC League of Super-Pets, along with the two acting legends.

He confirmed the news on Friday’s episode of GMB, revealing: ‘What I love about being given the opportunity to voice a character like Waffles is to enjoy the theatre of it all and see how these moments are brought together.’

Richard joked: ‘Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson and I go way back, and I have it on good authority that they are over the moon that I am such an integral part to this project.’

DC League of Super-Pets, which will be released on July 29, will see Krypto the Super-Dog – played by Dwayne – and Superman (John Krasinski) fighting time in Metropolis together, sharing the same superpowers.

When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack – Ace the hound (Kevin Hart), PB the potbellied pig (Vanessa Bayer), Merton the turtle (Natasha Lyonne) and Chip the squirrel (Diego Luna) —to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the superheroes.

The all-star cast also features Keanu Reeves, Olivia Wilde and Jameela Jamil in other roles.

Keanu, who voices Batman in the animated caper, also recently revealed that he would love to take on the Caped Crusader for real in an upcoming movie.

He told Extra: ‘I love Batman, as a character. I love him in the comic books, in the films, so to get the opportunity to voice, to play Batman was awesome.’

Addressing a possible role in the movies once Robert Pattinson hangs up the keys to the Batmobile, Keanu added: ‘Maybe down the road. Maybe when they need an older Batman.

‘I have a small part in this film, a bit of a cameo, but even that just to be a part of a project that [Dwayne] Johnson and Kevin Hart are a part of is awesome, and I got to play Batman.’

DC League of Super-Pets will be released in cinemas on July 29
