Love Island fans won’t be able to tag, comment, or message Paige Thorne’s Instagram account, after the contestant reportedly received a barrage of abuse on her social media.

Paige has faced quite the rollercoaster during her time on Love Island after she ended up falling for Jacques O’Neill.

He enjoyed flirtations with some of the Casa Amor girls, with Cheyenne Kerr revealing their ‘connection’ at the recoupling last week.

This left Paige devastated and despite the pair soon patching things up, Jacques decided to exit the Love Island villa earlier this week in very emotional scenes.

Now, Paige is enjoying getting to know former islander and returning bombshell, Adam Collard, who decided to couple up with her on Thursday night.

But after a pretty mad couple of weeks, Paige’s family have addressed some of the ‘hate’ she has faced from viewers online, which they have now taken action against.

In an Instagram story, they wrote: ‘As some of you have already noticed, unless Paige follows you, you’re now unable to comment/message/tag her in anything…

‘This is only for a few days to ride the hate train, it’s not fair for Paige, myself, or her family & friends to read, so best to block it out altogether!

They went on to add: ‘So proud of Paige for staying true to herself and it’s so nice to see a smile on her face.

‘P.s. if you’re truly a supporter of Paige, you’ll support her no matter who she’s coupled up with.’

Last night’s recoupling shook things up in the villa, as various pairings got back together – and Adam and Paige coupled up shortly after Jacques O’Neill’s quit.

Earlier this week, her loved ones spoke out after some fans on social media criticised Paige for not exiting alongside Jacques.

Posting earlier this week, Paige’s nearest and dearest wrote: ‘Little note that #BeKind applies to Paige too.

‘If she decides to leave the villa, that is her own decision, and she has no obligation to follow Jacques – this is her experience just as much as his.

They went on to add: ‘There is only 2.5 weeks left of her once-in-a-lifetime experience, let’s not see her come out to negativity.’

Jacques promised Paige he would wait for her ‘on the outside’ and revealed his desire to become her boyfriend.

But will she end up reuniting with Jacques when her Love Island journey comes to an end?
