According to reports, Adele has kept her promise to return to the stage as her cancelled Las Vegas residency shows are set to be rescheduled.

At the beginning of the year, the Easy On Me hitmaker, 34, informed fans that she postponed a lucrative set of shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace after delays due to Covid meant it ‘wasn’t ready’.

However, following her hugely successful concerts in London’s Hyde Park recently, it seems the Hello singer well and truly got the performing bug once again, and this has pushed her to organise the Sin City shows.

‘Adele loved performing in London and it gave her the drive to push forward with her Vegas residency,’ a source told The Sun.

‘An announcement is coming in the next few weeks. Management have asked for a celebration to promote her return.’

Reports say the ‘intimate’ shows could take place in December this year with dates announced in a matter of weeks.

The jury is still out apparently on whether the gigs will take place at Caesars Palace Colosseum as was intended or across the road at the larger Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theatre, which would allow an increase in ticket sales by almost 2,000 a night.

The star originally shared a tearful apology to fans in January after being forced to postpone her Las Vegas residency after delays meant that the show was not ready to go live.

A day before her Weekends With Adele residency was due to kick off, she took tearfully to social media to tell disappointed fans, the residency would not be going ahead as planned.

Between tears, she told her followers: ‘Hiya, listen – I’m so sorry but my show ain’t ready,’ she told fans.

The backlash to the canceelled Sin City shows was ‘brutal’ according to the megastar (Picture: Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images for Adele)

‘We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to pull it together in time and for it to be good enough for you but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid.

‘Half my crew, half my team have come down with Covid – they still are – and it’s been impossible to finish the show. And I can’t give you what I have right now and I’m gutted. I’m gutted and I’m sorry it’s so last minute.

‘I’m so upset and I’m really embarrassed and I’m so sorry to everyone that’s travelled again.’

There was anger and backlash among her fanbase after the abrupt and sudden postponement and the Grammy award-winning said later it turned her into ‘a shell of a person’ for months after.

Appearing on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, the megastar expressed that she ‘definitely felt everyone’s disappointment’, but believes she made the right decision.

‘It was horrible and the reaction was brutal. I was a shell of a person for a couple of months,’ she told host Lauren Laverne.

‘I stand by that decision. I don’t think any other artist would have done what I did, and I think that is why it was such a massive, massive story.

‘It was like, “I don’t care” and things like that. You can’t buy me. You can’t buy me for nothing.

‘I’m not going to just do a show because I have to or because people are going to be let down or because we are going to lose loads of money,’ she added.
