Love Island’s Antigoni Buxton shares her song Red Flag after Movie Night chaos-Emily Bashforth-Entertainment – Metro

Love Island’s Antigoni Buxton was making a name for herself as a musician before entering the villa, and she’s now released a new song with a very apt title.
The singer-songwriter was dumped from the villa what many fans believe was ‘too soon’, just two weeks after entering as a bombshell.
Since her exit, there’s been chaos – even saying that feels like an understatement – especially after the fan favourite feature, Movie Night.
Where to even begin? Dami Hope’s three-way kiss was shown in 4k to Indiyah Polack, Luca Bish lashed out at Gemma Owen over non-existent ‘flirty’ behaviour, and troublemaker Adam Collard somehow became favourite to win – yes, really.
Following the shock revelations, Antigoni has dropped, sharing on Twitter: ‘Song title feels more fitting now than it did when I wrote it tbh’, followed by the hashtag #RedFlag.
Red Flag has proved a hit with fans and already has over 100k streams on Spotify – it does sound like it could be part of the Love Island soundtrack, to be fair.
Listening to the lyrics of the song, it seems to talk about how the former reality star is attracted to ‘red flags’, but knows deep down those people aren’t right for her.
Lyrics include, ‘Damn I’m feeling feelings creeping all I wanna do is run’, and ‘I told you I don’t wanna catch no feelings’.
In the song’s chorus, Antigoni – who goes solely by her first name in her music career – sings: ‘Gimme love, f**k it up, bam, run it up, to the top, gimme your red flag’.
Since her departure from the Majorca villa, Antigoni has been keeping up with the show and tweeting along, not afraid to make her views known.

One Islander she’s been supportive of is Tasha Ghouri, speaking out in her defence over online trolling.
The singer, and daughter of celebrity chef Tonia Buxton, has openly defended Tasha, the ITV reality dating show’s first deaf contestant, saying she’s a ‘really sweet girl’.
Tasha has faced ableist abuse online with trolls wanting to interfere with her cochlear implant and mocking her voice, as well as viewers slamming the 23-year-old over her relationship with Andrew Le Page.

‘I think she’s really lovely and it’s not her fault that every guy has come in and wanted to get to know her,’ she said to Digital Spy.
‘And I think it’s only fair to give people a chance. She has not done anything reckless.’

‘It’s not like she’s been dishonest about it or anything. So I feel like it’s a bit unfair.’
Antigoni added: ‘I really hope the tide turns against her in the kind of social media world because I think it’d be really hard for her to come out to what’s been said now, because she’s actually a really lovely girl.’
Love Island continues at 9pm tonight on ITV2.
