Jeremy Vine star Storm Huntley made her co-presenters burst into tears as she proudly showed off her new-born son in his first TV appearance.

The 35-year-old welcomed the baby boy with her musician husband Kerr Okan on July 11, naming him Otis.

Little Otis has already had quite the share of the limelight, with Storm breaking the happy news of her pregnancy live on air in January.

The Scottish presenter introduced delighted viewers of the Channel 5 programme to her bundle of joy via video link on Tuesday’s episode.

While cradling Otis sat in a nursery decorated with elephants, Storm looked radiant as she proudly showed him off.

As the new mum chatted about how the tot enjoys sleeping and eating, Jeremy Vine revealed that news of Otis’ TV debut had ‘already made Jemma [Forte] cry.’

And the 47-year-old was not the only one to feel a bit teary, with Iain Dale gushing that he was feeling ‘really emotional’ despite ‘not liking babies.’

Storm also opened up about parenting on the morning show, revealing that it was ‘so much better than I would’ve ever thought.’

However, Storm has faced some difficulties, including breastfeeding, which she described as a ‘massive, massive challenge.’

As well as discussing what it’s like to become a mum for the first time, Storm spoke about having a caesarean due to her gestational diabetes.

Storm explained: ‘I had a C-section booked because of diabetes but I ended up going into labor the morning of my C-section. So I was having contractions about five minutes apart as I was walking into the operating theatre.’

The former The Wright Stuff co-host did not go on to have a natural birth, adding: ‘No, getting your head around giving birth is a challenge and I think they know that if you’ve got it in your head that this will be a c-section then actually having it changed can be quite a lot. C-section was definitely the best route for me.’

Storm’s pregnancy came just months after she and Kerr, the frontman of rock band The LaFontaines, tied the knot with their wedding taking place on the banks of Loch Lomond in Scotland last September.

The Jeremy Vine Show airs weekdays on Channel 5.
