TWO BEST FRIENDS of different sizes have tried on six different outfits to see how they compare on their body types.

Emily Canham, 24, filmed the video with her friend Lucy Flight, 25, trying on an array of outfits from the brands Reformation, Asos and Dickies.

In the YouTube video, Emily, a size 6, wanted to dress up her friend Lucy, a size 16, in clothes she would pick out to see if the outfits would work on both body shapes.

From the get-go Lucy was unsure about how the video would turn out, saying: “I’m not dreading it but I am totally unsure as to how some of these things will look on me.”

The first look was a blush pink and white checked dress with puff sleeves, a ruched top, and a line skirt.

Both ladies thought the dress was ‘adorable’ but Lucy had doubts it would look good as the square neckline would only make her bobos look even bigger.

DOUBLE TROUBLE

I’m a size 24 and my friend’s an 8 – we tried on the same Sainsbury’s dress

Once the dress was on, it only confirmed Lucy’s hatred for it.

The dress was far too big for her despite buying it in the right size and the skirt was a lot longer than Emily’s despite being the same dress.

On Emily’s slim frame the dress fitted in all the right areas.

Next up was a sleeveless black jumpsuit with wide-leg trousers from Reformation.

Lucy was eager to try this one on, but Emily wasn’t so sure of the style – but the jumpsuit turned out to be a total fail for both girls.

As Emily stepped out in the ill-fitting jumpsuit, Lucy came out wearing towel.

“It didn’t even go over my bum,” Lucy adds, while Emily said: “I feel like it’s a bit shapeless.”

The girls then tried on a brown, halter neck, mini dress which Lucy was already suspicious of due to the short length and her long torso.

But once on, Lucy’s doubts were confirmed; “It’s very fitting, which is not something I shy away from.

“But I feel like I can see the rice I just ate.”

Despite it being too short and ‘clinging to her gut,’ Lucy did like the style of the dress and the colour.

Next the girls went casual with an oversize white t-shirt form Dickies, but yet again their different body shapes meant it flattered one and not the other.

“It just doesn’t do anything for me,” said Lucy but she was impressed by how comfortable the tops material was.

The girls then tried on a pink flowy dress from Asos which had tie string details in the front and back – a risky game if you have boobs.

But Lucy was pleasantly surprised saying it was the best outfit so far – although she didn’t feel totally secure in the boob department.

Lastly, they tried on an olive green, strappy mini dress with a straight neckline from Reformation.

Lucy hated it as soon as she saw it on the hanger, ‘I’m going to look like an olive,’ she sighed.

Both agree it’s not a ‘boob dress’ as both women felt like their chests were trying to make an escape.

Emily said: “This is just absolute proof that buying clothes is just not straight forward.”

“Even if we were both size 6, we’d still look different,” adds Lucy.
