Jacques O’Neill has reportedly turned down a huge sum to appear on Celebs Go Dating, vowing to wait for Paige Thorne to return from the Love Island villa.

23-year-old Jacques made the tough decision to leave the hit dating show after tearfully admitting he hadn’t been feeling himself to paramedic Paige, 24.

Although Paige felt guilty for continuing the experience without him, Jacques stressed that she shouldn’t ‘think about him’ when he was gone, and promised that he’ll be waiting for her on the outside.

Since then, Paige has continued cracking on with returning bombshell Adam Collard, however, Jacques has vowed to still remain faithful to the 23-year-old Welsh paramedic, turning down an offer of help from Celebs Go Dating experts Anna Williamson and Paul Brunson.

A source revealed that despite being ‘very early days’ for Celebs Go Dating, with plans ‘only really just getting started,’ Jacques would be a ‘stand-out’ signing.

The source told The Sun: ‘An Islander always makes for a great signing and Jacques is a real stand-out, particularly because he’s already shown that he’s willing to put the work in and really change.

‘That’ll make him a really credible candidate for the agency’s help, never mind be someone that fans would tune in for.

‘But Jacques wants to wait for Paige so it may well be too late by the time she emerges.’

The rugby star, after exiting the villa, watched Paige and Adam kiss for the first time following a few days of flirting, after Jacques previously gave his blessing for her to move on.

Appearing on Love Island’s Aftersun moments after the kiss aired, he seemed chilled out with the prospect of Paige and Adam progressing things.

When chatting to Laura Whitmore, he explained of himself and Paige: ‘We had a good connection and were really getting on.

‘I did see things on the outside working between us but as I say, she’s doing what she needs to do.’

He also reminded viewers he’d told the Welsh paramedic to ‘crack on’ after breaking the news he would be leaving just like he did ‘in Casa Amor’.
