Love Island bombshell Jamie Allen’s football career in jeopardy – weeks after signing new contract-Charlotte Manning-Entertainment – Metro

New Love Island contestant Jamie Allen may have a problem trying to return to his old job, as a professional footballer at FC Halifax Town. 

Four new islanders were announced to arrive tonight, just as two current contestants will are set to be dumped. 

Jamie, Reece, Lacey and Nathalia will enter the villa, just days before the series finale, in the hope of shaking things up. 

However, Vanarama National League footballer Jamie may not have a club to go back to after his stint ends, after his Halifax made clear they will review his decision when he leaves Love Island.

The club’s official account tweeted on Wednesday: ‘Jamie Allen has decided to join the cast of Love Island 2022, making his intentions clear that the opportunity is very important to him.

‘The matter will be reviewed on his return.’

The Halifax Town player only recently signed a new one-year contract, and it seems the club will decide how to proceed when he returns.

Unfortunately, many fans found the update extremely funny, posting their thoughts below, as one person responded: ‘Best league in the world, this.’

Another joked: ‘You’re a bit late for April Fool’s Day.’

‘Will he be very quick with no end product while he’s there as well?’ a fan brutally commented. 

Someone else added: ‘One regular day of Vanarama. That’s all I ask for, will never happen.’

Back in June, the club revealed Jamie had signed a new contract, which marked his fourth year at the club. 

They wrote: ‘Good morning Shaymen fans, how about a new deal… 

‘FC Halifax Town are delighted to announce that Montserrat international Jamie Allen has committed his future to the club!

But will Jamie find more luck in the villa, and find the love he’s searching for?
