Could she be lucky in love a second time?

Ex-Love Island star Liberty Poole has revealed she would love another chance to return to the villa, like Adam Collard, a series four contestant who made quite the entrance (again) this year.

Fans were completely stunned to see Adam joining the villa and cracking on with Paige Thorne, after he failed to find love with Zara McDermott during his original time on the reality dating programme.

Adam and Zara featured on the 2018 series, when Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham were crowned winners, while Liberty captured hearts last year, when Millie Court and Liam Reardon won the series.

Now, Liberty has revealed she would love to go back, admitting in an AskMeAnything Reddit thread: ‘I would love to have another chance at finding love as it hasn’t worked out for me in the villa or outside the villa since.’

While in the villa, Liberty’s relationship with Jake Cornish left viewers heartbroken as they exited the villa together after calling it quits.

The former couple were inseparable from the very first day in the villa, quickly making their relationship official – and changing the way we hear the word ‘girlfriend’ at the same time.

However, after cracks appeared in their bond, the former waitress decided to call things off with the water engineer, with the pair leaving the villa just days before the final.

Cracks began to form in their relationship, which began when she saw a video in which her boyfriend said he didn’t want to ‘rip her clothes off’.

Jake’s motives were also questioned by the girls of the villa as well as those watching at home, with Chloe Burrows and Faye Winter among those suggesting he only dropped the ‘L bomb’ to keen his girlfriend sweet in a bid to scoop the £50,000 prize.

Liberty eventually told him: ‘I just don’t feel like you love me for me and I want someone who loves me for me.’

‘I just don’t think we’re right for each other,’ she confessed, before breaking down in tears.

While viewers had slammed Jake’s behaviour, branding him ‘manipulative’, upon leaving the villa he claimed ITV producers edited him to appear worse than eventual winner Liam Reardon, as well as making him seem like a game player.

He told MailOnline: ‘There’s stuff I have spoken to Lib about on camera that hasn’t aired about how I was feeling. It isn’t nice I’ve been painted this way as a pantomime villain. It isn’t the nicest to come across as someone I’m not.’

He blasted bosses for ‘bringing back a clip from Day Two’ for the Movie Night later in the series, and insisted it was ‘taken out of context’.

‘I had to sit back and take it,’ he added. ‘They’ve got to make storylines but it isn’t nice when you’re on the back end.

‘Liberty and I were big parts of the show; it was a way to make something out of it, which is a shame really. At the time I was like “what the hell?”‘

Responding to Jake’s comments, an ITV spokesperson told Metro.co.uk at the time: ‘The opinions they have, decisions they make and the relationships formed are completely within the control of the Islanders themselves.

‘It is always our intention to produce a show that is a fair and accurate representation of life in the villa.’

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
