As always, the drama continues (Picture: ITV)

Love Island 2022 continues to heat up with yet more drama and confrontation in the air.

Things seem to have only continued to escalate for the Islanders with ‘Movie Night’ possibly bringing even more tension than usual, including a particularly explosive bust-up between Luca Bish and Billy Brown.

In the most recent episode, we saw the second half of fan-favourite Love Island game ‘Snog Marry Pie’, where tensions rose yet again as Gemma chose to pie Billy, saying ‘I hope he gets the message.’

Things continued to get personal, as Danica was snubbed by Billy during the challenge altogether, leading to a furious row – while Luca and Tasha literally pied each other in tense scenes.

Contestants then enjoyed a party with DJ Joel Corry on the decks, before host Laura Whitmore revealed there’ll be a dumping (and one hell of a surprise) happening tonight – as well as four new islanders.

So, what time does the drama kick off? Here is everything you need to know.

What time is Love Island on tonight?

You can catch the weekly highlights show, Love Island: Unseen Bits, on Saturday evenings from 9pm, too. The bonus episodes feature behind-the-scenes clips from throughout the week with all of the islanders’ antics.

And, on Sundays, fans are treated to Love Island: Aftersun, which is hosted by Laura Whitmore and features gossip and behind-the-scenes footage.

Some regular Love Island episodes can also have extended running times due to recouplings, launch nights, final episodes, and a variety of other special events.

When did Love Island 2022 start?

Love Island 2022 started on Monday, June 6, 2022, and the opening episode aired from 9pm to 10.35pm.

Viewers saw the arrival of the original 10 islanders, including Indiyah Polack, Amber Beckford, Ikenna Ekwonna, Paige Thorne, and Gemma Owen – seems like another lifetime now!

When is the Love Island final?

We’ll have our eyes glued to the screen for a few more weeks yet – with the show ending on August 1.

While the dating show began with just 23 contestants appearing on the first series over the course of 41 days, the show’s length and cast count has risen since.

Series seven saw a whopping 37 islanders over the course of 58 days, while series six had 32 contestants and ran for 44 days.

Now, with series eight, who knows how many bombshells will be making appearances, and how long we’ll have to wait to see if the new King and Queen of the villa split the £50,000, or if one walks off with it all.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
