Kate Moss appeared to reference her wild party years as she joked she’s always ‘loved coke.’

The model has a sleek new job as Diet Coke’s creative director, and this week spoke an event celebrating the brand’s 40th anniversary.

At the event, during a speech Kate joked that she’s ‘always loved coke,’ followed by a knowing pause.

Guests burst into laughter at Kate’s comments, with many fans taking it as a tongue-in-cheek nod to her party days.

In 2005 the star had been dropped from multiple modelling gigs after she was snapped allegedly doing cocaine on a night out with then-boyfriend Pete Doherty.

Since then mum-of-one Kate has moved on from her wild youth: she is now sober and maintains a healthy lifestyle which involves lots of yoga.

A video of Kate’s apparent sly reference was posted to Instagram by user Meemeewhite, and fans flocked to the comments section to comment on the quip.

‘Icon behaviour,’ one person said, while another described it as ‘so good.’

In another comment Kate was branded a ‘legend’ while multiple others agreed the model was a ‘true icon.’

While the star can laugh about the ordeal today, at the time Kate was in hot water when photos of her allegedly doing cocaine in a recording studio were posted o the front page of the Daily Mail.

However Kate was never charged, with the Crown Prosecution Service saying in 2006 that the footage could not prove whether the pictured substance was cocaine, ecstasy or amphetamine and therefore whether it was Class A or B.

Earlier this year, Kate’s younger sister Lottie Moss revealed she had checked into rehab over a ‘really bad’ cocaine addiction.

She shared multiple short videos on TikTok at the time sharing her experience of addiction.

One clip bore the caption: ‘I think I took euphoria too literally u guys (sic)’, in reference to the acclaimed American drama starring Zendaya that depicts heavy use of drugs.
