Nick Kyrgios and his girlfriend Costeen Hatzi have put on a loved-up display following his epic loss in the Wimbledon men’s final.

Despite the crushing defeat, the Australian tennis player, 27, appeared to be in great spirits and insisted ‘it doesn’t get better than this’ as he soaked up the rays in Bahamas with the 21-year-old at their five-star beach resort.

The sports star, who wore his infamous red cap while Costeen wore a pink bikini, posted a series of snaps of the pair enjoying the luxury holiday this week.

In one image, Nick stared lovingly at his partner, who is a university graduate, as they shared drinks as well as another of them visiting some local wildlife, including a piglet and some lizards.

While the couple have been loving every minute of their sunny escape, they endured a miserable journey there from London after leaving the capital following their two-week stay.

Costeen shared images of their travel nightmare on her Instagram account earlier this week.

One snap first showed the couple on a departure lounge floor cuddling and using a backpack as a pillow.

The second then revealed their legs and showed people walking past them as Costeen tagged Canada’s Toronto Airport and captioned the images: ‘The reality of delayed flights & lost luggage…’

Flight drama aside, the Bahamian holiday has served as welcome distraction for the tennis ace who was defeated by Novak Djokovic in a tense men’s final last Sunday

Following his loss, he told fans on Instagram that he would be heading to the Caribbean to recuperate.

While Nick did make history for being an unseeded player who managed to reach a Grand Slam final, he firmly put noses out of joint the entire time.

Th player flouted the All England Club’s all-white dress code and opted to wear his beloved bright red basketball cap and shoes before and after matches.

He was also fined US$4,000 (£3,347) for swearing in front of the royal box in the final.

His antics overshadowed his achievements and led to backlash from scores of tennis lovers who slammed him for what they deemed to be his lack of sportsmanship.

His run to the Wimbledon final was laced with controversy with Nick involved in several high-profile incidents on and off the court.

During SW19 it was announced that Nick had been handed an assault charge for an incident involving his ex-girlfriend Chiara Passari which allegedly occurred in December 2021.

He also hit an opinion-dividing underarm serve and was involved in various arguments with umpires, line judges, fans, players and journalists.
