Venice Film Festival has officially announced its line-up and fans are in for a treat.

Highly-anticipated films including Don’t Worry Darling, starring Harry Styles, and Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde, will premiere at the annual festival.

Due to begin on August 31 and run until September 10, the festival will see celebs descend upon Venice to celebrate some of the best upcoming films.

It’s already set to make history this year as the festival will open with a Netflix film for the first time – Noah Baumbach’s White Noise. The black comedy horror stars Greta Gerwig, Adam Driver, and Don Cheadle, and will be part of the competition category.

It’s not the only Netflix film to be featured, as Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde, starring Ana De Armas, will also premiere as part of the 23-title competition section.

Also in the competition section will be Luca Guadagnino’s coming of age horror romance Bones and All, starring Timothee Chalamet.

Florian Zeller’s drama, The Son (which segues from his Oscar-nominated film The Father, starring Sir Anthony Hopkins) will be competing. It stars Hugh Jackman alongside Laura Dern and Vanessa Kirby.

Another highly-anticipated premiere will be Olivia Wilde’s psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling, starring hitmaker Harry alongside Florence Pugh. While it’s premiering at the festival, it is not included in the competition section.

Also bowing out of the competition section is A24’s upcoming slasher Pearl starring Mia Goth.

So, who’s expected to show up? We could see a star-studded red carpet including celebs like Olivia Wilde, Penelope Cruz, Ana de Armas, Cate Blanchett, Timothée Chalamet, Hugh Jackman and we could not be more ready.

Julianne Moore will preside over the main jury, with French director Audrey Diwan, who won last year’s Venice Golden Lion (the highest prize awarded) for her film Happening, also on the jury.
