Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn has revealed that while travelling to the US, he was taken to a ‘dungeon’ to be questioned by immigration services.
Luckily, someone recognised that he played fan-favourite character Eddie Munson – which helped him continue on his travels.
All hail the power of Eddie!
Last night, the English actor appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, marking his first ever US talk show appearance.
The 28-year-old was welcomed by screams from the audience, as the host told him he was also a fan following his turn as interdimensional rockstar Eddie in the epic Netflix sci-fi series.
Joseph explained to Jimmy: ‘I was held up at immigration yesterday… and I was taken into, I guess what you could call it more of a dungeon,’ as the 47-year-old presenter laughed in response.
‘And I was waiting for about 20 minutes and then I was summoned to this desk where someone asked me, ‘what are you doing in the United States, Sir?’
When Joseph informed them that he was ‘here to meet Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show’, he recalled how the man didn’t believe him, blatantly not realising who he was at the time.
He continued: ‘’And one of his colleagues looked over at him, looked at me and said, “Leave Eddie alone.”’
‘And then he said, “It’s Eddie from Stranger Things” and he was like,“You’re Eddie Munson?… Do you come back next season?”’

It’s the question all Stranger Things fans are currently asking – if Eddie is really dead after being attacked by the Demobats in the Upside Down, or if he has survived, possibly returning as Dungeons and Dragons vampire villain Kas.
Of course, Joseph couldn’t give anything away, not even when he was being interrogated by immigration services.
‘I was like I don’t…’ he said, shrugging, before adding: ‘And he said “you better” and gave me my passport.’

Joseph also didn’t come empty handed when he appeared on The Tonight Show, bringing Jimmy his own Hellfire Club T-shirt to make him an honorary member of the D&D group.
Eagle-eyed viewers recently spotted potential clues in season four that could hint at Eddie’s survival in season five.
At one point, Eddie holds up an Iron Maiden album that actually has the words ‘Eddie Lives’ included in the design, written on graffiti on a wall.
What’s more, some of the songs on the album in question include Caught Somewhere in Time, Wasted Years, Sea of Madness, Stranger in a Strange Land.
Coincidence? We hope not.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs on NBC in the US. Stranger Things is available to watch on Netflix.
