Lizzo has revealed a sweet gesture from Harry Styles after she knocked him off the top of the charts.

The Truth Hurts icon returned with a bang this year, releasing new track About Damn Time, the lead single from her fourth studio album Special.

After a race to the top of the charts, where Harry has reigned supreme since his unbearably catchy As It Was came out in April, Lizzo has finally unseated him.

This week, About Damn Time was officially named the number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and as classy as ever, Harry sent his rival a gift to congratulate her.

The American singer took to TikTok on Wednesday where she shared a video of herself with a bouquet of flowers, revealing they were from the former One Direction star.

She captioned the clip: ‘Yall harry got me flowers congratulating me on about damn time going #1 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭’

In the video itself, Lizzo can be seen holding up the bouquet, telling the camera: ‘Thanks for the flowers, Harry!’

She then sniffs the bundle, made up of roses and other exotic plants, and grins.

The gesture – and Lizzo’s reaction – has caused an outpouring of pure love online, with fans celebrating the two musicians’ friendship.

One person, responding to Lizzo’s TikTok, wrote: ‘Bffs that slay together stay together.’

‘This is so cute I’m crying,’ another said, while one wrote: ‘Please, you’re so adorable. I am so jealous it hurts.’

More than one suggested the two should team up for a track – and we have to say we would love to hear that.

Lizzo herself is no stranger to generous surprises, as earlier this month she delighted fans by crashing an exercise class with her back-up dancers.

The Grammy award-winning musician crashed a New York Peloton class to the tune of her track Good As Hell as the attendees, naturally, began cheering.

During the 30-minute two-for-one ride, Lizzo sang along to new and old hits, and her Big Grrrls backup singers even joined in on the fun to nail some choreography, clad in all-pink Yitty activewear.
