Beyonce has seemingly referenced her sister Solange’s infamous elevator fight with Jay Z on her new album Renaissance.

The 40-year-old superstar released her highly-anticipated seventh studio album on Thursday at midnight, following its leak two days earlier.

On one of the tracks, Cozy, Beyonce praises singer Solange and hints at the infamous incident which saw leaked security footage depict her attacking Jay Z in a lift following the Met Gala in 2014.

Later that year, Beyonce, who was also in the lift along with her bodyguard, referenced the incident in a remix of her single, Flawless: ‘And we could go around and get some good karma, but no.

‘We escalate, up in this b***h like elevators. Of course sometimes s**t go down, when it’s a billion dollars on an elevator’.

She has now appeared to reference ‘lift-gate’ again, which sparked rumours of Jay’s cheating (which were later alluded to on Bey’s album Lemonade), in new the single.

Beyonce has said of her highly-anticipated album: ‘Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape… a place to scream, release, feel freedom’

In Cosy she sings of Solange: ‘She’s a god, she’s a hero, she survived, all she been through, confident and she lethal.

‘Might I suggest you don’t f**k with my sis, because she comfortable. Comfortable in my skin, cozy with who I am.’

In several of the tracks, the Grammy winner also touches on her 21-year relationship with rap mogul Jay Z, 52, and reveals that she’s forgiven his cheating because ‘nobody’s perfect’ and the pair of them are under too much public scrutiny.

On the track, Plastic On The Sofa, she says: ‘We don’t need the world’s acceptance. They’re too hard on me, they’re too hard on you, boy.

‘It’s the way that you wear your emotions on both of your sleeves, ’til the face you make when I tell you that I had to leave.’

She also sings: ‘Boy, I know you can’t help but to be yourself around me, yourself around me. And I know nobody’s perfect so I’ll let you be, I’ll let you be.’

Bey is also confident betrayal won’t happen again because she’s incomparable, as she boasts: ‘I’m one of one, I’m number one, I’m the only one.

‘Don’t even waste your time trying to compete with me.

‘No one else in this world can think like me. I’m twisted, contradicted, keep him addicted.’

The mother-of-three is becoming known for airing out her marital issues through her music.

She first spoke out about Jay Z’s infidelity in her 2016 visual album Lemonade, where she famously referenced the woman he was unfaithful with as ‘Becky with the good hair’.

The following year Jay Z himself rapped about the scandal excusing his affair as a result of him having ‘shut down emotionally’ in the marriage.

Beyonce has said of Renaissance: ‘Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world.

‘It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking.

‘A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music.

‘I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.’
