Women have been testing out the £6 shorts in their droves, with many taking to TikTok to share their honest reviews.

Freya Farrington was one of them, captioning her video: “Testing the @Primark skims dupe £6 bum lifting shorts!”

In the brief clip, she admitted that the shorts came up “so high”, but stopped short of fully reviewing them.

However, she added more detail in the comments section, as she wrote: “I’d say a 7/10 not an essential but not bad!”

Holding them up in front of her, she said: “These are obviously incredibly tiny so I’m hoping there’s super stretch because there’s no way it’s going to get over one butt cheek, let alone two.”

She then tried on the shorts underneath a blue minidress, showing what the dress looked like before she put the shorts on, and afterwards.

Admitting she was somewhat confused as to why the shorts were so high up on the waist and so long on the leg, she added that she did feel as though they “snatched” her in and gave her an hourglass figure.

“For the price I paid of £6, I think it’s worth it,” she concluded.

“Yeah, I’m happy.”

She also revealed that she could tell a big difference in how the dress fit her with and without the shorts.

Her try-on quickly attracted comments from others, with one writing: “I’ve been wanting to try those,but I’m only 4”11 so that top part will be up to my neck!

“Been dying to see these on someone.”

“Why do they do 12-14 and 16-18 I’m not small enough for a 12 but not big enough for a 18,” someone else sighed.

As another person raved: “I absolutely love the shorts and don’t wear any dresses without them now, I’m not about that chaffing life.”
